Avery LeckroneParticipant
Are you referring to the one that won the eXtreme Strength Video contest a few years back? If so, I’ve got it. You can grab it from my dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e68i1g3g2bkojzc/Jaywalker.avi?dl=0
Avery LeckroneParticipantI would say for the price of one, but, really… she’s priceless!
Avery LeckroneParticipantI’m willing to concede that it might be her- although I swear I’ve seen that same image for years (Hell, I know the brain plays tricks); I’m not willing to concede that the degradation is purely time and steroid abuse, though.
Steroids do have bad effects on the body, absolutely. I’m one of the first to point that out, in fact. What irritates me is simply this: by claiming that the complete transformation was caused by steroids, you deny other (far more plausible) causes- and when those causes are uncovered, steroid abuse then gets a free pass. It’s stupid.
Avery LeckroneParticipantThen why blame the effects on steroids? Meth is a distinctly different drug. (And that picture has been used on an “effects of Meth” poster that we were shown annually for the past six years in Arizona…)
Avery LeckroneParticipantThe original photo comes from a tabloid newspaper… how much do you trust it? I’ll admit I can’t read it in the original language, but the headlines when translated into English certainly read as sensationalist, and the article attached to it is clearly biased. I would be much more inclined to trust it if there were a series of photos showing how she managed to change not only her facial structure, but her visible muscle mass as well.
No, I’m not impressed with the photo.
I will add this: even if you accept this photo as real (and untouched, unfaked, etc), the damage cannot be explained purely with steroid use, or we would be seeing similar photos for virtually every athlete alive- and certainly every bodybuilder!
Avery LeckroneParticipantI’ve seen those last pics several times- and in reference to several different FBBs. Does no one ever actually compare things that steroids really don’t change, such as (for example) the shape of her nose and eyes?
Steroid usage does bad things to people; everybody knows it. Do we have to post bullshit fake pictures to prove the point? For one thing, it destroys credibility.
Avery LeckroneParticipantMm. I don’t buy it. She’s a grown up and she’s old enough to take responsibility for her choices. My only real regret is that everyone is now going to look at Ms. Reardon and claim that it was steroid abuse that made her a volatile mess and not, for example, the abuse of alcohol and bad choices.
Avery LeckroneParticipantI have to say… I don’t think Ms. Bourassa is being particularly bitchy or unkind, although she may be being a bit unrealistic. Certainly, even particularly athletic men who would be interested in dating her FROM HER PROFILE are likely to be some degree of schmoe. That’s simple fact. At the same time, her stating up front that she doesn’t want to take her job (being a bodybuilder) home with her any more than is absolutely required is, when you get right down to it, pretty reasonable- and the fact that she says it up front is, in fact, laudable, as it means that people who are inherently incompatible are discouraged from wasting their time from the outset.
That said, I have to agree with Ashlee- I suspect her standards are going to leave her pretty lonely. To be fair, she’s a long way from over the hill (I keep telling myself, since I’m just a year older than her)- but the uncompromising standards she’s set are not likely to be met by anyone that she meets online. Basically, I guess what I’m saying is that I think TC2 nailed it and that, regardless, I wish her luck.
Avery LeckroneParticipantSounds like the story Modifications by Happiest-in-Shadows. If you don’t mind digging through all the outdated HTML tags, you can still find it on Paul Smith’s eXtreme Strength Website in the other authors’ bookshelf.
Avery LeckroneParticipantIf you LIKE Shannon Courtney, and want to show support as a fan of female bodybuilding…..
1) – stop posting members section content that costs us thousands of dollars (and time) to produce
2) – buy her clips from her clips studio at the FemaleMuscleStore.com (the money goes straight to Shannon and she puts that towards hiring her trainer, filming her workouts, buying supplements, contest entry fees, etc…)
3) – join TanyaFitness.com where the money also goes to support Shannon, as TanyaFitness.com is the official sponsor of Shannon Courtney and makes it possible for her to compete in these shows.Thank you for your support of Shannon.
HDPhysiques.comThis. So much this. I love free viddys as much as the next guy, but these women work damn hard to be where they are. If you enjoy their results, you ought to be willing to support them.
