I’m in- where do I sign up?
Avery LeckroneParticipant
Y’know what? I’m somewhat offended by these hugely judgemental comments. Unless it is your body, who are you to be so openly hostile. You don’t care for tattoos on women. Fine. I can get behind that. On the other hand, comparing tattoos to vandalism is outright rude, not to mention wildly inaccurate. While I realize I am bucking the trend, I would say that, in the interest of good taste and reason, maybe y’all- and here I include our moderator- ought to moderate your stance just a bit.
Nah. Its our opinion. Alex can moderate with out your input. Thanks.
Also, I assume, without yours.
I stated an opinion and a (perhaps blunt) request that people try to not come off like self-righteous bigots. If that’s too much to ask for, well, I guess I can go my own way- as I did in the past when the bickering and general nastiness became too much to deal with- and you can continue to voice your opinions to whatever degree you wish, regardless of the bounds of good taste.
I will note, incidentally, that both Ashlee and DCM have made statements regarding their preference that women not get tattoos that didn’t read as an outright condemnation of the art of tattooing in general. Granted, I think DCM’s comments are still a little extreme, but at least he clarified his position as being his position and not a blanket statement that all tattoos under any circumstances were abhorrent. I can respect that.

Avery LeckroneParticipant
Hell yeah! You want a girl who rocks, correct??
You gotta keep in mind that 65% of young Americans have tattoos
No matter what station in life,..white collar to blue collar
Soooo,..a trend which exploded in the late 90s hs gone far&wide across the globe
I believe just about every Female bodybuilder from Europe listens to metal, has a punk-rock hairdo&has tats
People,..Are you ready for the revolution?
Well, thanks to UFC/Mma tats&muscle go hand in hand nowIs that really correct? Sounds crazy.
Not a fan, but sometimes you see good looking tattoos that match personality. But not so often. Most of them are in just bad taste and following the trend with no really personal input.
It seems in the discussion boards these conversations are so one-sided but you can clearly see tattoos are liked in the street. So don’t they just like to use the internet or wtf?
Pretty sure that’s accurate. Moreso young adults than any other group, obviously.
And, of course, you’re right- when someone gets a tattoo just to be like everybody else who has a tattoo, it rarely works out well. Like any other form of body modification, getting a tattoo ought to be something that a person puts some thought into and really considers before doing. Maybe if more people did, we’d see fewer kneejerk, reactionary “all-tattoos-are-ugly” comments.
Avery LeckroneParticipantRe: The Hodgetwins. I admit it. I laughed. And they right- she look fine!

The blue girl… that one I don’t recognize from the picture and the extremely limited context. Can’t help with the issue that this is from, sorry.
Avery LeckroneParticipantI think what it comes down to, for me, is the fact that I don’t mind ink one way or the other. If a lady wants to get ink to express an aspect of her history or personality, then it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. On the other hand, I do find some tattoos to be both obtrusive and obnoxious- like, for example, Taz (which was big a bit over a decade ago)- a tattoo, in my opinion, should be all about expressing who you are. If it’s just saying that you’re another sheep, following the herd and trying to fit in with whatever you perceive the status quo to be, then why bother?
Avery LeckroneParticipantPretty sure that’s Sarah Dunlap.
Avery LeckroneParticipantOne of my first FBB crushes. She died far too young.
Avery LeckroneParticipantThere are illustrations throughout the book- black-and-white, with the women having fairly big-but-offseason physiques. The story’s pretty good, too.
