ParticipantImagine the responses you would've gotten had you been two men. :-[
It's so sad that people feel a need to inflict their own emotionally bankrupt views on anybody who does conform to their particular brand of love, whether 'straight' or 'gay'.

ParticipantGotta admit, dusty, I love your Mankillers stuff. Much fun!

ParticipantY'know, it's strange, because I often do a double-take, and I really have no idea why. It's still unusual, I suppose, although I notice it more when it's two guys.
…but when I see two women holding hands or casually kissing my gaze does tent to linger more.
The real question is do you find yourself going "Eww…" or "Oh! That's nice." I, for one, get so tired of seeing people who clearly hate each other and have no respect for each other, that whenever I see two people who look as if they're genuinely enjoying each others' company, it tends to stop me. And then I end up contemplating the beauty of what I've just seen, sometimes for hours.

ParticipantWho said homophobia was dead?
Not me. Sigh. Been to Ohio, lately? 'Course, I'm moving to Arizona in a month, and I don't really expect it'll be any better there…

ParticipantI just keep thinking back to the flak when Iron Man decided to remove all the traces of his technology from anybody who wasn't Tony Stark or James Rhodes. That was, at the time, pretty cataclysmic, but it wasn't permanent. The Marvel Universe generally finds a way to return even subplot characters to their previous states. Given that She-Hulk has had, what, FOUR volumes of her own book, now? I seriously doubt that what Stark did will have any real lasting consequences (after all, Jen getting the Infinity gem didn't…)
The other thing I keep thinking is that Stark, for all that he can be a right bastard, is generally a good guy. He is just so intelligent (note: not wise, necessarily) that others in the MU (and, by extension, the real world) don't fully grasp how his plans will unfold.
Just my ~20 won.

ParticipantI recall it and probably have it hidden away on back-up discs.
That's awesome! Can I get that from you somehow (thus spake the luddite)?
I'm also pretty sure if I'm remembering correctly that someone who posts actually made it…
I've no idea, but I'd love to give credit where it's due. Do you happen to know who the original designer was?

ParticipantHey, anyone else unable to edit their posts or topics?
Yup. The loss of the 'Modify' button has been brought to Lingster's attention, but he may have gotten busy with real life and not been able to deal with it, yet. Check the Feedback thread…
Now if you could be talked into writing about a good girl =)
He'd put the rest of us out of business. 😉

ParticipantSadly, the only thing which would realistically account for Es's demise would be police action. And I have difficulty seeing that as the sort of story that anyone really wants to read when they open up one of these stories. Sorry, Lupus, but the Monster series really is about the horrible, twisted way that Es demeans and destroys her prey. Note that the way she is described is simultaneously stimulating and disturbing. She is not sexy in any feminine way- rather, her sex appeal is a direct result of her power and psychopathic use of same. Clearly these stories won't appeal to everyone. Still, I love the way they're told as much as I find the characters in them terribly, terribly disturbed. In fact, I think that's part of what makes these stories so interesting-despite the physical inferiority everyone and everything experiences in the presence of Esther, you feel a sort of emotional and moral superiority when compared to Es, as she is obviously deficient in those areas.

ParticipantGorgeous. And Anne has legs worthy of a Purokogi picture.

ParticipantThe next installment will be Sylph in Moving Day. She's informed me that getting ready for college had it's share of tribulations which she has been detailing to me at length and I'm in the process of chronicling. Expect to see it sometime tomorrow or the day after.
