November 5, 2009 at 8:52 am in reply to: What is the best martial art for self defense for women and kids? #87981
TC2ParticipantI'm definitely interested in a Martial Art that will teach to defend against multiple attackers from behind. I had a bad experience walking home late at night, so I'd definitely want to learn something that let's me take on people trying to attack from behind.
TC2ParticipantUpdate news:
New skin texture is being built for Exnem's mesh, which includes the female muscle body. Someone released a resource that had the UV maps of the mesh and made it 1000 times easier to skin. It's still a terrible UV, but it's looking a lot better. Expect a photo realistic skin to come soon, it MIGHT include the _n files as well but not 100% sure.
TC2ParticipantWith a name like Punt Speedchunk I wonder what Megaman powerup I would drop. The ability to kick rocks at high speeds?
TC2ParticipantIt's just a bad joke, don't mind me.
TC2ParticipantYou're the one living in a glass house. (This will be my last comment as I'm bored with this thread.)
What I strongly disagree with is people who actively encourage other females to abuse steroids and take their muscles to the extreme. We're accused of "objectifying" women, yet those who claim to just care about the muscles encourage the use of steroids!?
Encourage the use of substances which can cause a shift in gender just for the sake of building muscles? Obviously, that would be considered a form of objectifying as well!
I would never encourage a woman to build her muscles to the extreme, it is just not what the female body is meant to do. In reference to what FBB Amber Steel said, "A fig is a fig and a tree is a tree, you need to accept what your body is and not try to change it."
Everyone knows the judges of FBB are a sham and the entire sport is garbage. Why? The women don't get paid nearly as much as the men do and therefore they still do not amount up to the men's competition. Women should be judged on the amount of muscle they can build and train naturally. Obviously, that would be in freaking possible because most competitors would hit Fitness, Figure, and MAYBE lightweight.
Most male bodybuilders DO NOT LOOK LIKE FEMALES. There is nothing inherently feminine about them, are they judged on a attractiveness? No of course not, because it is naturally accepted that males are the muscular species and therefore it is not as difficult to balloon to such large sizes for them. Yes there's still drug use, but it is accepted socially that this is how they will be.
I also don't believe that females are judged on their attractiveness, so to say or think that they are is looking for excuses to counter my argument. If it was really judged on attractiveness Iris Kyle would not have won. She is not hideous by any means, but by standing next to Heather Armbrust and Yaxeni Oriquen, those two would have won the beauty competition if it was based on that.
If I was judging an FBB competition and I saw the popular female FBB's and then Caroline Wang and her buddy. I am going to choose the popular FBB's because in my eyes those women who have went to the extreme with their body that they seem to be another gender, is disqualified. It's a female body building competition not an androgynous body building competition. If we're going to include the heavy weight class and have drugs be a factor, then the only female competitors I want to see are the ones who stayed within the rules of the competition. That is look female, be as muscular as you can without crossing over.
You cross over, you go into another category of bodybuilding. If you have masculine features you are DQ'ed from the FBB aspect, the same would apply for men if they looked like women; though it's a lot harder for a man to look female than it is for a female to look like a man.
Anyway, that's all that can be said. Monstermuscles you are ahead of your time, the world and most of the community is not going to be ready for androgynous body builders. If the track runner from Africa couldn't be accepted then certainly bodybuilders won't be accepted (yet) either. It's hard enough getting the world to understand that female body builders are not as gross as the media portrays them, but when you add someone whom you can't tell the gender of into the mix; it makes it so much harder.
It is a niché within a niché and I'm sorry you feel outnumbered but you're one of the few people who thinks that kind of look is awesome, and this forum is not ready for that kind of competitor.
TC2ParticipantIt's the magic of make up CP, one of these days you'll be learn(ed).
TC2ParticipantWhoa, I think most if not all of us would wake up with smile's on our faces if we saw THAT first thing in the morning!
TC2Participant"If he dies… he dies."
TC2ParticipantGave me nightmares actually.
TC2ParticipantFor those Massive, Androgynous, Thick and HUUUUUGE Caroline Wangs out there, there ought to be a federation for their own that rewards that type of look and has a business model that's designed to make money marketing that look. Then they will have that type of success. I can imagine a Renne Toney being the best FBB of that style. Does she look sexy? To me, sure, (as I love hugeness and power) though I never met the gal before. Don't know about everything else though.
If those type of women want to succeed in the NPC which has its own style, they have to conform or bring a new level of the existing standard. Plain and simple. The problem is that because the NPC / IFBB is the largest, most reputable out there (and I use those terms with a grain of salt), every type of competitor wants to be the best in there.
But, in the end, only the bodies that the majority likes and works for the masses will win in the IFBB as BB is a subjective sport.
I found older pics of Ms. Wang here by the way, for your reference.
http://www.beepworld.de/members21/caro80/Ironically she looks more feminine in those photos. The current one definitely looks like steroid abuse.
