I's do not feel it right if she were to lift (which they do not do in tango) or dip him.
The feminine power within the tango is the subtlety of control and the distance the lady keeps from her male partner -luring him closer as she resists his every effort of seduction.

It did take some time but she event won out and is most healthy these days.
