ParticipantI think that 40 is the new 25. So many 35-45 year-old bodybuilders, both male and female, look very impressive. It's one thing I think that should be publicized more in order to attract more new talent. Compare a typical 40-year-old to some of the 40+ bodybuilders out there (Lenda Murray (47!!!), Ronnie Coleman (45), etc) and ask a person in his late teens to early 20s which one s/he would prefer to look like when they are older.

ParticipantBy the way, are you planning to any journal articles covering some of the technical aspects of drawing, like perspective and figure construction, as well as the excellent ones you've already posted covering the more artistic side.
Thanks for the kind words. I haven't considered what topics I will cover once I finish this series of journal entries, or even if I will do any more. While I'm pretty happy with my work overall, it's those technical areas where I consider myself to be very far behind. Line thicknesses, perspective, background details… those are areas I am still struggling with. It's another reason that I am doing larger and more complex work- it makes it easier to see where I am taking shortcuts that hurt the final product, which helps me eliminate them and produce better work over time.
I really should add an entry at some point with links to the guide books that I've used, because I consider several of them to be "must have" items for a comic artist or cartoonist.

ParticipantI am sure that Heavy Mental Love would turn up some very interesting videos. 🙂
I think that you can view the entire Otaku No Video on Youtube as well, someone had at least 40 minutes of it in four videos. Japanese language with English subtitles. Decent quality, too, considering it might be ported from a VHS copy.

ParticipantSome day, Jed will be able to post his own preview images! muahahahaaaa!
If time permits, I want to provide a critique for the second one. In part because Jed checked the "CRITIQUE REQUESTED" option, and in part because critiquing it will let me squeeze every bit of awesomeness out of it. Plus, I get to stare at the boobs under the guise of offering constructive advice. Win-win!

ParticipantThose last two posts…wow. Nice to see not all fbb's want to take breast implants – and it really looks good. And Annies chest is certainly something special.
I think that something that stands out with Annie is that even when she's in contest shape and even though she doesn't have implants (which means that her breasts practically disappear when she's contest-ready) she still looks feminine. Or at least, more clearly feminine than many other female bodybuilders when they're in contest shape. It's what struck me as I was watching some of the videos on YouTube. I can't quite put my finger on what does it for her, but that's the impression I get. I don't find the hyper-cut contest-prep look very attractive, but I think a number of bodybuilders manage to look good in that shape, and Annie's probably at the top of the list, IMO.

ParticipantThis is the item on Amazon.com, though there may be better places to get it that specialize in anime. Although there is something appropriate about buying such an item from a site called AMAZON. ;D

ParticipantI think that a ménage a trios would simply be too much for any man or woman to endure, and live to tell about it.
On the other hand… what a way to go!

ParticipantIt is easy to run out of superlatives when trying to describe his work. All I will say is this– I am ever so grateful that he is as prolific as he is.
