Wow, I've been such a big fan of you ever since your days on DtV. It's awesome to see you start coloring your works as well.

Thanks, it's always good to hear from people who enjoy your work. 🙂 Coloring is turning out to be a challenge, but now that I don't approach it as an afterthought it's becoming less tedious and more fun.

Here are two more images (one is lineart, the other is with color added) of my anthro bunny who still lacks a name and is codenamed "Ash."

Is this all done with Poser?  Or other software?  It's very good work!

The latest addition, based on a request in the request thread from this forum:

I wanted to produce this relatively quickly, but was having problems with poses and such, and finally just decided to wing it.  The rough sketch looked more cartoony than my work normally is these days, but I decided to go with that look.  I added the 'plank' she is resting on because it seemed as if she was sitting on the edge of a porch fence or something.

I may try a more cartoony approach on future work as well, it would make it easier for me to ease into color work as well.

Hi there i was wondering would it be possible if someone could create a massive muscled picture of emma frost from x-men please

Not sure if this fits the bill, but I figured I would take a crack at this one.  This is the basic drawing.  A color version to follow as time permits:

Pssst!  Click the image for the full sized version.

I like the "were-tiger."  Jim Lomax, who created a lot of the characters that show up in my artwork, just loved the concept of a "werebeast" that wasn't always a wolf.  Werecheetah, wereleopard, there are probably a dozen others I can't think of at the moment.  Two of the characters that I wanted to create for future comics stories were a wolf that was actually a vampire, and a rabbit that morphed into a wererabbit.  I wound up creating a vampire rabbit.  Meh.

Hah, all this talk of "were-whatever" reminded me of Young Frankenstein.

    "Werewolf?"

    "There wolf.  There castle."

I don't think there is any one reason, or even one overarching reason, for the level of interest.  I think it's hard to compare to a few years ago at the Wreck-Shop forums.  My impression at the time was that there were a few pay-sites (Diana, LH Art, Awefilmes) and a few usenet groups that were not always very friendly to newcomers.  Wreck's site developed a community that was active, close-knit, and yet welcoming to new visitors.  I suspect that a number of the artists were like me at that time, having recently discovered the femuscle/femdom community and producing lots of work and participating just out of sheer enthusiasm and the desire to be a part of something that was growing before our eyes.

The community is more scattered now, and that's both good and bad.  It's bad to have it spread so thin, which can hurt many sites and groups.  But it's good that there are so many places to go, whether free or pay sites.  And with software making it easier to produce content (be it animations, movies, 3D models, digital coloring, etc) there seems to be more contributions from people who would not want to pick up a pencil or a paint brush.  I think that there is a pretty good community here at Amaz0ns, but I admit that I'm not very involved so that I may not have a good view of things.

As for participation, I admit that I feel like ironb667 to some degree.  While artwork is a labor of love, and therefore a reward all its own, most artists want to be recognized.  A view, a comment, a critique, anything that indicates that people are paying attention can be a real ego-boost for an artist.  I prefer not to ask or complain about attention, because I think that if artwork is good enough it will draw an audience (and perhaps a following) over time, and I prefer to let that dynamic play itself out on its own.

I think that this is where a site like deviantArt is useful, since it provides tracking information that can help you see what it is that people like.  But the one thing that I think dA lacks is the sense of community you get at a place like the old Wreck boards or Amaz0ns now.  At dA, the community is all about YOU.  Your site, your artwork, your comments, comments about you, statistics about you.  When I am here, I'm part of the crowd, and the recognition means a bit more.  I see a place for both types of community.  I think that over time people will settle in and that this place will be as healthy as ever.  I am hoping to be here for a while, myself.
