I'm curious what the reasoning behind the pubic throbbing was. It didn't really bother me but I didn't really get what it was supposed to represent either.

very_zennParticipantThanks guys. Kind words are always appreciated. 😀
very_zennParticipantHey, no problem. I don't post much but I lurk about here a lot. Thought I might try contributing a little as well.
very_zennParticipantThanks!
very_zennParticipantHere! Here! There's no reason to rag on John Byrne's ART when his writing is so much more deserving…

If you read the whole thread you get a sense of the weird organic way that everything came to be but the long and the short is that at this point your just supposed to make a character image on a white background. The shirt is optional (though most everyone has used it) and at this point it is apparently set on a beach though you really don't need to worry about it. The only down side is that the deadline is Easter (at least I THINK its Easter…) though if you talk to Kulli exceptions may be possible. I don't know.
Hope that helps,

I've enjoyed the site in one incarnation or another for a long time now. Major muscle is not something I get enough practice doing and I'm afraid it shows. Ah well next time will be better.
Hope the little bit of text on the background won't mess anything up. Thought it would be easier to get rid of the text than to have to keep track of the info.

MattOh, yeah. The link.

Hope that works. 🙂
very_zennParticipantVery Cool! ;D
But if it was supposed to be for the big group pic shouldn't the background be white…
Regardless. Excellent colors for an excellent drawing.
I irrationally demand more from the both of you…and Fett. 😀 😛

You can get in touch with Fred Perry there.

very_zennParticipantWhen I use non-photo blue I don't have any real problem getting rid of it. Of course this is after playing with it for a long time to figure it out. Also I actually ink my pics so how well it will work with pencil I don't know. Also I am doing this using Photoshop so you'll have to translate if you arn't.
After scanning the picture in full platen at 300dpi pull it up in photoshop.
Go to the Channels pallet and delete the Green Channel and then the Cyan Channel. (This will clean it up 90%)
Go to the Image/Adjustments/Threshold option. Set the Threshold to about 150. (There, it's JUST B&W. Selecting for colors is easier now)
Go to Image/Mode/Grayscale and then Image/Mode/RGB.
Done. I have this set up as an Action in photoshop so for me its one click and done.
Hope it helps.
