Gotta agree with Ashlee on this one, last thing this community needs is more people looking down on bodybuilders, you know what I mean?  The strip rail roads you to think a certain way, where as if the FBB were beautiful like in the modification our friend shared, then at least the reader can be like, "Hey wait a sec… she's kind of attractive."

Beauty isn't funny. Infact most positive things in comedy are not. Sad but true. We're barbarians.

I also really don't mind the racist jokes and I'm hispanic, but there are some jokes that are in poor taste and those jokes will get people to be a bit more "serious" about it.  I personally think the strip is tame but I can see where Ashlee is coming from.

I can't. Nut is right; getting constantly worked up that not everybody shares our point of view, is getting silly.

The entire world may never come to see them the way we do, but quite frankly, we should not even care about their vindication. I'm sure that hoping that the rest of the world accepts them, if the last thing a FBB cares about, instead they atleast know that some do, and most importantly, they're doing what they do for themselves.

That and, the artist wasn't going for changing someone's mind about a subject, they were just making a funny script. They don't care about any of that, and probably, neither does the bulk of the readers.

Am I the only one who thinks we take ourselves far too seriously? :-

    Nope.

But I get the feeling that the pet sitter is going to wind up having a piece of her face stripped off, revealing a glowing eye and metal exo-skeleton.

Which will be funny if done right.

Yeah, that's what they're going for. She's supposed to be comically intimidating. It wouldn't be funny if she were cute.

I dunno, that last scene with that huge hand would be funny no matter how pretty or ugly she looked. Jon's expression there is hilarious, and yet you instantly relate to it the moment you see that massive hand.

Most people didn't like the Van Damme SF movie because it was so obviously a parody of the gaming genre. No where did it take itself seriously.

Raul Julia, an awesome actor, so blantantly overacting. Honda and Zangrief fighting across the model of Bisonopolis with the Godzilla soundFX playing. Cammy and Chun Li's comments on each other's hair. The background announcements in Bison's headquarters for people to remember to return their health forms to HR. The whole Bison/Chun Li bedroom scene (the clothes changing, the self portrait of Bison as a clown, etc.)

There were some great lines in it, also. Like where Chun Li has her big speech to Bison about her quest for revenge and tells him in detail of the day he killed her father and she is expecting him to remember it.
Bison looks blandly at her and says "I'm sorry, I don't remember any of it. For you, the day Bison graced your village, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday."
The look on her face is priceless.

StreetFighter was a parody and a fun movie.

For such a crappy movie, that was the best line in any movie that's come yet. Raul Julia FTW.

Hmm…. It's never crossed my mind.

I don't smoke, don't have close friends that do (which is just luck I guess), wouldn't start because I couldn't afford it in the first place, and I don't like the idea of addictions, but I got nothing against it when it comes to the fiction realm. Come to think of it, one of the characters I'm planning for my own series may smoke and drink sometimes; a short jerk who leads a crew of thieves and has a  big ego, and enjoys an occasional cigar and cigarette, because that's his character.

It's not like it's worst than 98% of the rest of the stuff fictional characters go through.  😛

But they can! …. Because they're fictional.

The art's nice and all, PG looks nice to me big buffed or busted, but I'm more waiting for her to do something *interesting*.

I don't think Doujin's (those comics people in Japan draw based on trademarked characters) are copyrighted, but some artists make money off of it there and on the internet. Must be nice people in japan or something. *shrug*  🙂

Well anyway, does anyone know if he accepts money orders? I don't have a credit card (nor do I like the idea of dealing with credit cards and such on the net).

I can not lie; the furry blue characters look adorable (though one of them looks dirty?).

Is that IceWolf in judge booth? I get the feeling I'm missing something.

I agree totally, Alex. Making her pro-registration was totally out of character.

I think that was about the only thing that made sense. That is, being a lawful person, she (and Slott) atleast tried to make the registration not look like abunch of stormtroopers forcing their view on a populace that probably wouldn't mind it… if they were'nt busy practicing their goosestepping. Shulkie's probably the only person who managed to keep her character through the ordeal.

She Hulk's approach: If you register, and you will get real training to become a better hero, and with all of us together, we can be a real force for good!

IronMan and near everybody else's approach: Register or I'll throw your ass into the can.
