ParticipantGreat pic, etc etc but the question I am left with is how is it any different from photoshop or other digitial imaging programs? Does it have filters for giving characters big saucer eyes and removing noses? Or does it just have a large library of half-tones?

Well that is the point. The big crossovers are just a tool for boosting sales. Granted, some of them are pretty good and are handled well, but most of them fall along the lines of here is some big new evil guy/alien race/fallen hero/ etc that WE ALL HAVE TO TEAM UP TO STOP WHEW THE WORLD IS SAFE AGAIN UH OH WHAT IS THAT 8-MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD!?!?
Not applying this to Civil War or anything, but I just had to rant.

As far as the "America supports you" bit, I really don't like how they have handled a lot of 9/11 stuff and the War on Terrorism. The absolute worst was in that issue of Spiderman where he was trying to get people out of Ground Zero and the WTC and the aftermath, they had Dr. Doom CRYING over what had happened.
DOCTOR DOOM. CRYING. OVER A TERRORIST ACT. The same guy that pretty much tries to enslave the world on a weekly basis. Hell, the same guy that enlaved the UNIVERSE at one time or another.
