Participantand don't forget that if it can be done, it can be overdone!
Most movies nowadays seem to be either sequels or remakes. In Hollywood, there is no such thing as an original idea. 😛
I'm personally dreading the Underdog movie that's due to come out.

ParticipantWow! Older than I thought. Are his thoughts/responses archived anywhere?
They are posted on DtV's site in archived messages. If you do a search on "Sinbad Jr" I'm sure it would show up. Try the Muscle Growth message board first. I'm trying to remember his handle on that site but I cannot recall off-hand. I'd have to look it up myself. 😛

ParticipantOne of the old timers who collects femmuscle in cartoons ,Rich, used to hold,"femuscle in cartoon corner" on Iczerman's site. Stated that Phoenix did a close up a double Biceps flex in the Ring. but the 10 second was later removed. I remember that segment, now all she does is lift up her arms and than put them down. the "cut in" close up was removed.
later in a 3 part episode they cover her becips flexing with a Jesse Ventura pink feather Bola.
A crime !I've talked with Rich many times and we've discussed many such things including the time he worked on the Sinbad Jr TV show back in the '60's. He was always trying to get females to gain muscle in all the things he worked on. There was one episode where a female used the magic belt of Sinbad to gain a very muscular physique. He said the episode was "Rainmaker Faker" but I bought the 16mm film of it and did not see anything although I had just a regular 8mm viewer to use which wasn't quite good enough. The sequence might be on there but I'll have to have it transfered to either tape or DVD to find out for sure.

ParticipantI personally would love to see Mary Marvel all buffed out. I can think of only one drawing ever of her in a muscular mode and that was a few years ago on Wreckshop's old site. He didn't like how it turned out but everyone else loved it.

ParticipantSeems I was the only one to catch this issue
Not quite, Alex. I did mention this issue in the other string involving the FF animated series. I brought up the Sue as the Thing scene in that issue just a few pages after the one you scanned.
However, you are the only one to mention the lift and carry. 😉

ParticipantWell, actually if you want to see Sue as the Thing, the latest issue of Marvel Adventures FF just came out with Johnny going through a myriad of dimensions with various incarnations of the group. One such version had no males in the world via a virus and the FF consisted of Nova, She-Hulk, Medusa and Professor Sue Storm, the Thing.

ParticipantWell, unfortunately in the episode of "Bait and Switch" Sue and Johnny swap powers while Ben and Reed swap theirs. 🙁
So no FMG for Susan this time. ::sigh::
I watched the video of the episode on YouTube.

ParticipantBack from Vegas after a week long sabatical….
The interesting thing about Rampage is if you look at her origin, it is basically a retelling of the origin of the Hulk. Geeky scientist accidently having a bomb go off and getting bathed in radiation turning into a mindless brute who is orange rather than green.
Rampage predates She-Dragon by at least five years (nobody said that that author, "Name Withheld" was Mr. Originality but that's for another topic at another time).
John Byrne had just left the Hulk when he took over Superman and possibly having a Supes vs. Hulk battle without using the jolly green giant.
Still… any chance to have a muscular amazon in a comic is good enough for me. 😀

ParticipantI doubt that Sue will "Thing out"… besides if you want to see that – Manic did a sequence along those lines.
Do tell. I must've missed that one somehow. Whereabouts is this sequence that you speak of? I do remember him doing a possible future tale in which the Thing's daughter could turn into a She-Thing at will.

ParticipantAccording to the episode guide for the FF series the "Bait and Switch" episode which will air at the end of June:
Dr. Doom causes an energy surge during one of Reed's experiments. As a result the Four have swapped powers with one another. Now the team must face Doom with new and untrained skills.
Here's hoping that Sue will get super-strength (and hopefully not the rockiness) of the Thing. But she'll probably wind up with Reed's powers. :-
