I used a really old copy of Toon Boom Studio… They don’t even make it anymore! It seemed to handle tweening easier than OpenToonz.

It was a big learning experience, and I could have broken up the layers better. I think a lot of the “line tearing” was the transition between art that I scanned in, and the stuff I did free-hand in the app. The scanned drawings are much more precise, the freehand stuff tends to look like a mess.

This all seems like Marvel MO these days. They seem to be designing stories more for their periodic graphic novels than to be enjoyed as standalone issues. As such I intend to wait for Hulk’s inevitable collected volume.

Let me personally recommend “Warnerd of Mars”. It’s a hell of a lot of fun with throwbacks to Richard Corbin. No FMG sequence but gobs of Amazonian action.
