Anatomy Practice with Rogue

    I felt some of my previous pieces lacked a good sense of anatomical correctness so I decided to renew my skills and take a few stabs at practicing my anatomy. I don't much like backs so I decided to practice on that first. There are a few things I don't like about how this one turned out but for the most part I'm happy with how the muscles turned out, which is what I was mostly concentrating on.

    I might be taking another stab at the front once I'm feeling up to it.

    That's lovely!  I think the lower right leg could do with being moved a little bit to the left, but that's a beautiful sketch.  I love the shading and the way you've rendered the musculature.  Thanks for posting, man!

    Wow. That is quite impressive, Maniac. And if I had any grasp of anatomy myself, I'd go into more detail. But I don't, so I'm gonna give you a big ol' thumbs up.

    The only thing that looks "off" to me is the right leg is so much bigger than the left leg.  I can't tell if that's for future perspective or just a minor detail…

    Anyway, great work!

    You should be happy at how the back turned out.  It's pretty awesome. 

    As stated before that right leg could use some tweaking.

    I actually started typing out this long-winded response going into perspective, foreshortening, etc. when I realized that this is the only piece of art I have ever seen by you.  I didn't want to go on and on and insult your intelligence when you might already know exactly what I was going to say.  BUT if not, I shall have a response detailing the likes of figure drawing that the WORLD HAS NEVER KNOWN.

    And they told me I was wasting my life with my Studio Arts BFA.
