Sounds terrific.
Also, Adam Hughes posts a response on the second page of comments.
I'm really looking forward to it.

ParticipantI didn't like the way he dissed Xena though. One of the reasons I have a hard time with Wonder Woman (the stories mostly) Is the notion that being an amazon means that you are in all ways superior to men. I like that Xena had a dark streak to her and was trying to atone for it. Makes for a more interesting character. I think if anything, an all star title should take a few more chances. That's why I like reading All Star Batman and Robin… please don't flame me… the book is insane… but I like insane. ;D

KeymasterThis is nuts. If DC still wants to make a go of the All-Star line, it needs to focus on getting people who can deliver on time. Hughes isn't one of those people. He's just not.
Also, he's done so much Wonder Woman already that I just don't see it holding his interest.
I always thought some of his best panels depicted Huntress back during the humorous JLA run. He basically drew her as an angry, muscular, scary vigilante. I really liked that. It's more interesting.

ParticipantI really think it sounds great.
Adam hasn't drawn anything but covers for Wonder Woman. He did it for like 3 years. How is that too much?
Plus, she'll be fucking buff as he always draws her.
Also, Adam Hughes, if you read the comments in the Newsarama thread, is VERY aware of how long it takes for him to work. Which is why his intent is to get all six issues finished before #1 hits the stands. He jokes that should DC solicit #1 before he's ready, he'll cry, run away and quit.
Also, it was joked on his messageboard that Adam is under contract to deliver 10+ pages a month (so with 132 pages, it should take him between 13 and 14 months to do the six issues) with the idea that the last issue he'll draw will be #1, thus preventing DC from releasing any issues before he's completely finished.
Bear in mind he's pencilling AND inking AND writing.
If #1 and a subsequent issue is delayed, it won't be because Adam can't keep his promises, and it won't be because he's slow. He's doing three times the work of any other penciller out there. If he gets it finished in 13-14 months, he's actually been quite fast.
The man just isn't slow at all. Not when you look at the quality and quantity of the work involved.
Also, I love the idea of his Wonder Woman, instead of this crappy, pissed off Amazon who hates men. I love the idea that she'll go, "I haven't learnt Japanese yet."
I'm sooooo looking forward to this comic.
You're wrong Lingster. Shit, you don't even like Nextwave, you lanky gog-eyed freak.
I love ya, Lingy. :-* 😉
