Many of you will know about Fairchild's original transformation when she went Gen Active… it seems that Gen13 volume 4 was a relaunch.
Naturally, as it was a reboot I thought I'd have a lookie… and as they showed a flashback of Caitlin as a geeky and underdeveloped schoolgirl, I felt my palms grow clammy – nah, I'm just pretending to be writing a column in a Sunday newspaper.
Anyway, long story short I had to read the 2nd and 3rd episode before I felt I could – with confidence – say that they totally glossed over the transformation. For no discernible reason she comes downstairs in a Gen13 jumpsuit, then there's an off-screen shout and she reappears with the jumpsuit ripped… to be honest, it was hard to establish any real process here.
She is however, still her statuesque self when there are points from which to get a height reference. Disappointing though. I can post up the relevant pages if people are interested.
I wouldn't bother. I didn't think it was worth it – it was a bit of let down the whole relaunch.
Shame really.
Well I'd like to take a look at whatever you'd care to post. The more reference, the better chance that any effort I put into correcting that flaw will look somewhat convincing. Have ya seen what they've done to Lara Croft? Shocking! And I WILL be putting the necessary effort into correcting that error and posting it on every Tomb Raider site along with any other gaming sites I can find.
I never took Lara Croft seriously, which is why I don't buy any merchandise related to the Tomb Raider. But it's a shame Fairchild can't get the physique that she's famous for. God, I wish I kept the mini-series by Adam Hughes.

You can still pick it up in the Gen13: Ordinary Heroes TPB. It's got all his Gen13 work. ^__^
Thanks, I just miss having the first prints. 🙂
I'm sure they shouldn't be too hard to find. Especially at a comic convention.
I live overseas in Asia. There are no comic conventions here. I can order it online though.
