I saw the news this morning. It's a real shame. But he lived a long life with great success.

The man who brought us a homicidal computer…a optimistic view of the future…a man of many talents many hats…a respected writer a playwright..I will miss him as I miss Asimov, and Sagan

I read his novel to kubrik's Movie 2001, a space odysee, and i can only recommend this book. Its some of the best scifi stuf ive ever read. and i almost only read scifi ^_-
And it also explains everything that might not be as clear in the movie. Watch the movie and then read the book ^_-
