New story by NHLcooler at DTV.

    Spoilers…

The FMG catalyst is straight up steroids.  In fact, this is really more of a real world FMG story than a sci-fi/fantasy FMG story, and it's tempting to not even classify it as FMG.  So I have a question…in the eyes of the forum, is this an FMG story, or is it simply a strength/muscle story?  Does the usage of steroids as the catalyst remove it from FMG status?

I have mixed feelings about this story.  It's well written, has good strength/size imagery, and contains reasonable characters and motivations.  However, as much as I enjoy FMG, retention of femininity is key.  This story references a "deeper voice", but the author chooses to use this detail to increase the sexiness of the character.  For me though, it implies a loss of femininity.  And thus my issue with the story…by using steroids as the catalyst, I can't shake the imagery of the devolution of the character from a hot female to a muscular, but male looking, version.  Without the retention of femininity, the story loses its appeal.

    You're asking me?  😉

Well, I'd still classify as FMG, but of the fictional, but non-sci-fantasy based sort.

Case in point of something similar would be "The Coming Out" by Shade, also I believe, archived on DTV site.  It's about a women, (the wife of the main character who tells the story from his POV), who gets into lifting and eventually into full blown BBing.  Can't remember if the use of gear was in it, but to the best of my recollection it was strictly natural bodybuilding.

As for the use of gear, I don't think that would preclude it from being considered as FMG.  Several yrs back, Avida Dolor made the routine use of gear (apparently it was legal to use in those realities) part of several of his (admittedly very violent) pulp-fiction styled stories (many of are also archived at DTV).  He also pointed out the downside of "juicing" on certain individuals in his stories who should have known better to quit using before irreversible damage set in.

Hello guys, normally I am the classic lurker to this forum, but I had such a positive reaction to this story by nhlcoolers that i had to join and reply.

First off, I thought the story was amazing. It is fairly rare that you find a FMG story that is so well written and incredibly descriptive. It is simply a cut above all the regular/normal storys in the FMG relam.

Now, to respond to the thread topic. Steriods, I didnt mind that the author used them as its growth mechanism. Because in real life (which i think was the authors purpose/goal this time around) from your local competition to the olympia, all the girls and guys are one something; thats a fact. And look at how they drive us all wild! lol.  On another note, the author also has a mentioing of boobs on the girl and her gracious facial features. Also, a slightly deeper voice to me could mean that the girl sounded like a mouse before and now its simply more mature.

The point is that, I think nhlcoolers wrote a remarkable story that has a touch of realism and the fantasy elements we all love. Remember most fbb's on steriods loose there boobs and their face often can become distorted (remember Mrs. Neil?). IMO its a great peice of work and he is a great author, one of which that is becomming to rare in the fmg community.

    Yours,

    Steve

Steroid use or any chemical help is IMO FMG.  I'd give a specific answer to this particular story but I haven't been able to access DTV for like 6 months, so I haven't read the story.

As the protagonist transparently was an abnormality with breasts that retained size or seemingly increased in size as a fairly significant level in body fat occurred; I consider the affects of steroids to be atypical. Initially there is a subtext that she is a genetic outlier.

Personally, I really enjoyed the tail even though the violence is not generally my forte.

    Spoiler
I could have seen a reasonable concussion to the story at several points. One being her start of employ at the strip club after he transformation into a fit hotie. Two being the natural gains at the gym and the competition win. And three the post death match ending that the author indented.

limit, I too am not a big fan of violence and I also very much enjoyed the story.

I really hope the author writes a sequel. I liked the length of the story as well and am very glad that nhlcoolers left it wide open for additional parts.

    a must read.
