Fans waiting for a big screen pouting for the Amazonian Princess may have to wait a while, because DC and WB are bringing Wonder Woman back to TV screens first…
Deadline report that DC/WB have a new show in the pipeline, with David E Kelly(Ally McBeal) on board to write and produce. According to them..
Details on the reboot are being kept under wraps and it is not clear if the new Wonder Woman aka Diana Prince will keep her signature powers and weapons, including her Lasso of Truth, her indestructible bracelets, her tiara and her invisible airplane. In the comic books, the Wonder Woman character has evolved significantly since she first appeared in a 1941 issue of All Star Comics and recently underwent a controversial makeover.Wonder Woman fans have been waiting a long time to see her grace the big screen. The closest we got was the now defunct Joss Whedon movie from a few years back. But we do have confirmation from WB CEO Barry Meyer that a movie is definitely in the works. Will this new show change that at all? We will (hopefully) find out in the coming weeks as DC Entertainment/WB will unveil their plans for their comics properties.
Of course we have seen the character on TV before as the lovely Lynda carter played her back in the 70s. But who would be a worthy replacement?

Well,…I am picky.
Also,WONDER WOMAN is the character that’s easy to screw up becuz she can’t be adapted to modern world logic.
When interviewed Joss Whedon had stopped working on the movie for that reason.
He couldn’t use what can work on Buffy for Wonder Woman.October 2, 2010 at 9:21 pm #95901ReasonParticipantjazztival wrote:

I mean look at Batman, “A grown man who dresses up like a giant bat to go out on the street and fight crime”, but look how convincing Christopher Nolan was able to make it. As long as you give it a solid foundation in reality, the audience will go with it even when it goes way beyond what is normally believable.

October 3, 2010 at 1:01 pm #95923DanParticipantWell until we know who’s playing her, we can’t say much I guess. Though I really hope it’s not some skinny thing.
