A small thing, but still: We recently got our first look at the protagonist for the upcoming sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender, and she’s got some tone to her:

Yes, she has a bit of muscle shape to her. Saw this a while ago, I loved the original Avatar series, I hope Korra’s can be just as good, if not better.

Hope the new series is as great as the old one. I really like the female characters on Avatar (Toph, Katara, Azula, etc.) so I’m psyched to see a female protagonist.

The original Avatar was one of the best animated series ever, and I am chomping at the bit
to see the sequel. Hopefully they bring back Zuko, Katara and my personal favorite, Azula.

Supposedly though this series takes place 70 years after the first series or something like that and it’s been mentioned already that Aang has been dead for a while . . . so it’s likely everyone else is dead. Now, the children and grandchildren of these characters will likely show up.

Toph’s daughter has been confirmed for example, she’s the chief of police in one of the cities Korra travels to.

I was actually thinking about that and thinking about who could have potentially survived from the first series. The only one who came to mind was Toph because she was only a child in the original Avatar.
But apparently they’re all dead and wont be making an appearance in this latest series. (And I had such high hopes to see my beloved Azula again :S )

    Bump of relevance!

Today the official site KorraNation.com released the first two episodes of Legend of Korra as a sneak peek. The show itself premieres April 14. Anyway, to wit:

    Korra is strong as hell.

April 14 is also the 1 year anniversary of me joining amaz0ns and the 100 years since the sinking of the Titanic.

Those two first episodes are drawing rave reviews. Can’t wait till they come out on DVD/Blu Ray, so I can add them to my massive animated DVD/Blu Ray library.
