It’s set in 1984 not 1995.

It was pretty good, on the level of Iron Man 2 or Thor: The Dark World.

Purely for the sake of clarity –
I’m loosely referring to the physio types from Huxley’s Brave New World, not collage fraternities.“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.”

You’re not suggesting it may not bomb, are you?

Also, I think it’s more a question of whether the lambdas, betas, gammas would date you. You seem to have developed into a very angry and hateful human being over the past 10 years. Which is strange because you still claim to be a Japanese woman, bi-sexual, into muscles, NYC architect who has had the same boyish haircut for 20+ years. Or, you’re probably the internet’s longest running catfish.
It’s a shame that the most vocal users of this community are trying to convert this forum into a cesspool of conspiracy theories and politicized hatred. I come here to find news of sexy muscular women or muscular characters in pop culture. Not to debate harebrained politics. Or to scroll past 10 year old threads that have been necro’d by a forum member with nothing better to do.
I don’t like Brie Larson, in fact, I think she’s a terrible choice for a superhero lead. I don’t like what she said at press junkets and I definitely don’t like personality. I also think Captain Marvel is a D-lister that no one gives a crap about, a boring hero with a boring story. You know what I did? Instead of complaining on a forum specifically about discussing or posting news about muscular women. I simply decided not to go see the movie. I’m also not going to willfully deny the fact that the film was successful. That would make me look like an idiot.
It is, what it is. You guys always trash on Hollywood but don’t actually do anything about it except whine and complain in a forum that is not designed for political discussion. I think everyone in this community forgets that -we- muscle lovers are a MINORITY. If you don’t like the political message being spread through a comic, movie, or novel, don’t read it, watch it, or listen to it.
I trashed on the She-Hulk comic for its heavy-handed political correctness and utterly pointless story. Once I realized it wasn’t going to improve, I stopped buying it. Same thing with Star Wars. I saw that they were making Rey too powerful and it was pushing this strong political agenda. So I didn’t watch it in the theaters.
Not that I’m against strong female characters, I love them, I support them, I want more of them, and I watched Wonder Woman in the theaters. But not all female characters are created equal and not all movies deserve success due to the politics they are pushing on audiences.
I won’t support those movies and characters, and I won’t whine about it on a forum that is supposed to be neutral of ideology.
TLDR: the movie was successful, get over it.
