Over at http://www.polymercitychronicles.com/
Chris Morrison has made the debut of Sheeri's new form, woah and is awesome.
Now will she stay this way, that is uncertain for the moment but as a teaser she has horns and wings…..;)

Hmmm ok lets just try this,
Not sure why link comes out wrong but i put the url quotes….now you can copy it ……hmmm not sure why the other way won't work ……got me stumped
Just copy and paste the URL part that should work.

i've tried many things and experiments to try and eliminate the s.com…etc link corruption but i can't seem to find a solution to the problem. My solution was to quote the link it worked but you have to cut and paste it from there.
If anyone knows why the link changes i'd like to know for future post. Thanks.

September 27, 2005 at 8:41 am #13909David C. MatthewsParticipantThis has happened every single time anyone has ever tried to post a link to PCC; it happened to me a few months ago when I tried to link to his site from one of my posts. For some weird reason, this board software wants to add s.com/" target="_blank"> to the front of the URL. And it only affects Chris's site!! I think maybe this is something for Lingster to look into; something about the board software doesn't like PCC or something…
September 27, 2005 at 8:46 am #13910LingsterKeymasterTry this link for Sheeri.
September 27, 2005 at 8:49 am #13911phenomsParticipantIt is a filtering glitch within the SMF board's programming. It has a maximum character limit of 19 characters for the name of the site.
So…
http://www.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.com will work while
http://www.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.com will not. (Count the X's. 19 vs 20.)And…
http://www.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.com/whatever/and/so/on/ will work while
http://www.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.com/whatever/and/so/on/ will not. (Count the X's. 19 vs 20.)I don't know if the limit is a setting that Lingster can control or if it means changing the board's programming. At least as a temporary work around, use sites like http://tinyurl.com/ to make urls that trigger the glitch linkable.
Also, note the use of the back-tick ( "" ) I use below. It prevents the url from being turned into a link. It's a good fix for the lazy. 😉
