Pretty good. I don’t like the fact that you can’t even customize your attributes. Also can’t customize appearance. My highest is only 11. Not in a hurry to level like some of my friends are. Maybe something will change by expansion, more features.

Yeah I would preferred the old skill attribute system. Also I miss the dark and Satanic graphics Diablo 1 and 2 had.

As for customize appearance that has to do with the Diablo lore. In the first Diablo the warrior character, rouge character, and the sorcerer. We find out later on that the warrior character was Aidan, King Leoric’s elder son who later becomes Diablo himself, the rouge was Blood Raven who later becomes the undead verison Blood Raven, and the sorcerer becomes the Summoner in the Arcane Sanctuary.

I have a hardcore witch doctor at level 15. The witch doctor is in my opinion one of the strongest characters in the game. The only two characters I have not played

Also the female wizard’s has the same voice actor for Azula! :woohoo:

Yes I like Witch doctor too. The Grasping graves is both slow and dot. He can release pets, cast spells and run away; the enemies just die.
The new system has no customization. The only thing you can pick is gender and class and maybe banner. LOL. You can’t specialize like D2.
I am glad you notice the graphics too. D1 and D2 were so dark, it has atmosphere similar to some Resident Evil games (RE3 and 4). RE5 got away from that too.
    So sad.
My highest is 18 or 19 in act 2 (can’t remember). Only playing sparingly. The barbarian is pretty nice; I wish you can customize the appearance.

D1 was a pretty horrifying game. When I fought the Butcher in D1 and went to that room filled with bloody mutilated bodies and a huge demon with a butch knife at you and it scared the shit out of me. Lazarus sacrificed a young boy at an alter with a knife. D2 also had that dark horrifying atmosphere, but not as dark as D1.(except maybe Durance of Hate) D3 looks way to much like Wow. Also D3 music no where near as great as D1 and D2 music.

Also my hardcore witch doctor was killed by a bunch of campaign demons. I raged hard because I was almost done act 1.

Yeah, D1 was like a horror movie. You spend a lot of time in dark catacombs with skeletons jumping out at you. They got the atmosphere just right.
Sorry to hear about your witch doctor. I don’t plan on playing hardcore any time soon.
I played WOW PVP several years ago; it can get intense sometimes. I can get paranoid just walking outside. But that was part of the charm.

If you see a champion pack of unburied or Berserkers all I can tell you to do is RUN. If those things gang up on you, you gonna be killed in like ten seconds.

Ten seconds? Blues can sometimes kill my barbarian in like five.
And I am talking about normal mode.

I’ve gotten my female barbarian up to level 40 and having quite a bit of fun.

I’m liking that the game is rewarding me for doing what I would do anyway, which is make every effort to take my female barbarian’s Strength score as high as possible.

And once I unlocked the Wrath of the Bezerker power, even get a little bit of time with her as a small giantess.

Some of the dialogue is nice too.

Town NPC as you pass by: “Look at the size of that barbarian! No wonder she could kill all those demons.”

Town NPC: “There she goes again. If I weren’t a happily married man, I’d certainly let her take ME on an adventure.”

Enchantress: “Are you considered pretty among your people?”
Female Barbarian: “I am strong, and that is what matters.”

And sometimes when she levels, the female barbarian says “I grow stronger.”

Personally, I like to use disappearing dye on some of my armor, so I can see more of my lady barbarian. Especially the helmet.

I’ve been using Ground Stomp with the rune that draws targets in. Then I use Rend, Revenge, and Cleave (which are all area effects). Makes for very effective killing with large groups.
Managing to kill blue monsters on Nightmare level. Focusing on building up Strength and Vitality almost exclusively with my items.

The female barbarian of Diablo III gets a thumbs up from me.

Oh, and I named my character Karri. Readers of my AC comics stories should get the reference.

Yeah its funny some games have female armor that reveals a lot (look like a metal bra) and still provide a ton of ac. I like it though.

Yup. Diablo 3 is a lot harder than Diablo 2. I could beat the entire game fully on normal without dying once. Only boss that ever game any trouble was Duriel. Second boss in Diablo 3 is even worse. Trust me when you fight the final boss in Act 2 you will know what I’m talking about.

P.S. What do you think of my new Avatar? It’s from one of my deviantart drawings.

I got my fem barb to level 44 an im LOVING it so far!
    Heres my girl 🙂

Hmm im on nightmare now and i killed Belial with no sweat whatsoever. My question is are you
using Auction house? Buy gear there, Strength + vitality are main stats third one that is useful
because of dodge chance is dexterity… 😉

I’m spending gold every 4 or 6 levels to update my gear. 🙂
