When I play the game, I play my character to fit the lore as much as possible. In that game no one wears hoop earrings, necklaces, jewelry, or anything of the like. It’s a post apocalyptic world, people are more concerned about survival than looking pretty.
I don’t like having features that I can’t remove from a mesh, for instance. There’s a rose tattoo on the back of the character mesh. I don’t want my character to have tattoo’s so I opened photoshop and erased it. Simply put, I just want my character to look like MY character and my character wouldn’t wear hoop earrings.

If one wanted even in such circumstances could find means to be and keep beautiful. I’m sure that there would be houses which would have leftovers of jewelery, and means to keep a hairdo for example… nothing is impossible. Besides a female that is rather superior (stronger, faster, more muscular, and very versatile in combat) can afford a little vanity. 🙂
But whatever rocks your boat… 🙂

October 8, 2010 at 9:24 pm #96047Mr. StoneParticipantDid some snooping around.
There is a SuperJump mod, but apparently it looks more like you’re moving around on the moon.
Tiger, if I order and download the game instead of buying the disks will the mods still work?
October 8, 2010 at 10:47 pm #96051TC2ParticipantAs someone who uses digital downloads nowadays.
Yes you can still download and use mods with a digital version of the game. The only difference is that some of the steps get more complicated. For instance, if you use steam you will have to go through steam/commonaps, etc. just to access the Fallout 3 folder where all your mods need to be installed.
Also if you have Game of the Year edition or some DLC’s some mods may conflict with that. However, since this is just a mesh switch, really just download Fall Out Mod Manager and have it install the mod automatically for you.
October 9, 2010 at 12:05 am #96054Mr. StoneParticipantSo the next question would be is the FOMM offered at Fallout3Nexus the one I want to use?
October 9, 2010 at 12:24 am #96055TC2ParticipantYep, the nexus is what it says it is. A nexus of all the mods you would possibly want and need.
October 9, 2010 at 1:08 am #96057Mr. StoneParticipantI hope it’s fairly straight forward. I’ve never installed a mod on a game before.
October 9, 2010 at 7:39 am #96060TC2ParticipantIf you use the Fallout Mod manager it’s gonna go a little something like this.
Download mod and program.
Place the mod in a folder where you can easily access it. I like to create a mod downloads folder inside my Fallout folder so that it’s together with its game.
1.) When you launch the program you’ll see in the list Fallout ESM, and that’s about it because you have no mods.
2.)Go into package manager.
3.) Click on ADD FOM mod
4.) Select your mod from wherever you placed it.
(FOMM will begin unpacking the data for installation, can take a few minutes for large mods.)
5.) Once it’s done unpacking, click on “ACTIVATE” while having the mod selected in the list.
6.) Launch Fallout 3.
The most important mod to get working is FBB Races, Pink teeth bug fix, and eyelashes. Once those are in and ready to roll you should be able to go into the game and create a bodybuilder character.
