    I'm not into GTS, so I didn't see this topic until today; but reading the article I was struck by this paragraph:

    "Jencks said: 'When most mining companies finish at an open-cast site, they fill it and turn it back into farmland. We wanted to do something that would give back something positive to the community.'"

    Excuse me? Turning an open-cast site back into farmland that can grow food and feed people isn't "positive" ??? Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see him finish the project*, but… just damn.

    (And don't get me started on this whole "give back to the community" mindset. What does he think he "took from" the community that he thinks he has to "give back"?)

    *I hope it's a realistic sculpture, e.g. it actually looks like a woman. It would really suck if it turns out to be one of these abstract pieces of crap where the artist has to explain what's what… "and those two pyramids sticking out sideways? Those are her breasts." "Uh huh… and what's this big doughnut over here for?" "That's not a doughnut, that's her vagina!!"

    I guess more people want to see 100 ft tall breasts over being fed.  😕
