It looks like Taschen is clearing out its inventory of Robert Crumb books. Taschen published these a few years back, listed for a couple hundred dollars each, but now some of them have been marked down as low as $20 and $25.

These are massive art books, hundreds of pages each. I’m sorely tempted to grab the ones that have been marked down but I’m moving in a couple months and I’m in the process of downsizing my book collection.

    Anyway, here’s the link: https://www.taschen.com/pages/en/search/crumb

Taschen’s books are usually amazing, by the way.

Thanks for the heads up.. University Press of Mississippi is a publisher I buy (usually history) books from occasionally, and they just released a Crumb book that looks cool. https://www.upress.state.ms.us/Books/T/The-Comics-of-R.-Crumb

Wonder why Taschen is having to reduce their Crumb items (?) I think Crumb is pushing 80, may be that his core Baby Boomer audience is fading (?) His work, and place in underground comics will be timeless tho.

Taschen had published them all as a box set for several hundred dollars. I guess once that was done ut released them individually, for less.

Now they’re likely marking them down because they want to clear out what’s left. I don’t think Taschen likes to hold on to stock.
