I check the forums on my lunch break at work. Before, it was no big deal, but now you have all kinds of porn ads, sex video ads, phone sex ads, scantily clad women splashed all over the place, etc.. This went from a work-safe community feel to a not-work-safe horny-bastard feel.
If you surf this at school or work, now you’re going to get in trouble. And now any new people to the forum might be repulsed by how sexual it is. I had a buddy join this forum and then you guys changed it and now he comments on it every time he logs in.
I wonder how many muscular chicks are going to join now that you blatantly advertise that you want to turn them into sex objects. I, and others I’ve talked to, came here to check out the art, but you wouldn’t even know that it’s here from the front page and sexual ads.
Then again, since some of you ARE here for that, I genuinely wonder if it’ll boost or hinder the sign-up rate.
Anyway, just curious if anyone else felt too bombarded with sex at this new location (you can say “no,” I’m just asking for your opinion, I’m not going to chase you around and call you a filthy perv if you say “no, I like the new location.” You don’t need to worry about getting on my good side…I don’t have one), and how many of you check the forum at work or school or the library.

Click 1 – Click on forums
Click 2 – Click on "Show Unread posts since last visit"I haven't noticed any annoying ads and I have a popup blocker so I wouldn't know if they are an issue. I peruse the subjects and click on anything that looks interesting.
I think it’s okay.
July 29, 2005 at 10:40 pm #8942Archangel_DreadnoughtParticipantI don't see any porno ads (I have Firefox with Ad-blocker on it)
My problem with this is all the forums that are here, too many and too specific. Plus, in the old one, the Art section was second to the "Site issues" section, but, now its the last thing on here. That is one of the things that I am sure is the main reason (second being the storys, but, thats a guess) that people come here.

Yeah, I'm in total agreement. Let's post this in a new thread so people see it's an issue.

Lingster is just trying to broaden his forum up to a larger audience and bring together the lovers of all odd-ball female fethishes. It may be a little annoying to have to go through a million boards. But I welcome it if it's going to bring us some more artists and/or authors.

Maybe, if they could figure out where to post… >_>
July 30, 2005 at 7:38 am #8947David C. MatthewsParticipantSorry to go against the current here, but I'm giving a big "thumb up" to the new location.
I'm not seeing any popup ads at all (using Netscape 7.2 on a Mac) so no problem there; and I like that there are now forums here that don't cater exclusively to "growth" topics (like the new Superheroines board under Art). I always felt a little strange (well, at first, anyway) posting here because, aside from Dyna's transformations and Tetsuko's sudden growth (a one-time occurrence), my work doesn't really concentrate specifically on growth.
As for the problem of not being able to surf this site at work because of porno ads… give some serious thought to switching to a browser like Firefox or Netscape that blocks popups.
(Why anyone would still advertise using popups, given the universal hatred for them, puzzles me no end. Myself, I've resolved never to do business with Netflix, Orbitz or the "University of Phoenix" because theirs are the few ads that get through the blockers – meaning that they've seen the popularity of popup blockers and, instead of saying, "Hmm, people really hate this shit; maybe we'd better find a less obnoxious way to market ourselves", they're going "We gotta find a way around these blockers so we can continue to shove our shit into the faces of these people who don't want it!" Wonderful way of doing business: alienate your potential market with hateful marketing practices.)
July 30, 2005 at 7:42 am #8948LingsterKeymasterThere are no pop-up ads on this site.
July 30, 2005 at 9:22 am #8949TC2ParticipantI don't get any sex ads or pop ups when I come around here, but then again I'm using Mozilla.
If the site DID have pop ups like that you can bet I wouldn't be much too happy with the new changes, despite being on a forum where women are sometimes often depicted naked. I'm not exactly a big fan of porn or gratuitous nudity unless it'd done in an artistically tasteful way, I.E. laying on a bed covered in feathers. If I see any "schlong" licking I doubt I would be visiting the forums as often as I do.
But I digress…
If you're getting popups I suggest getting adaware or using mozilla because I don't get any over here nor do I want to see porn sites popping up while I'm browsing.
As for the different forums, eh it feels a bit too messy for me. I mean sure it's nice and broad but I think if it's going to stay in this format the forums should be organized into most popular, that way my favorite threads are at the top while my least favorites are at the bottom.
Naturally for me it would be Site Updates, FMG Artwork, FMG Discussion, anything involving photos or morphs, GTS, etc. blah blah blah you get the picture.
