Thank you Jack. 🙂
May 4, 2009 at 3:55 pm #83103TolanParticipantI see you made the shoulders smaller, which fixed the proportions in the arms. I didn't say anything about the legs because I thought just as Reason did and figured it was just part of the style…but it looks like the satorius (muscle that connects at the hip and wraps around the knee and back into the front of the calf) isn't there, it'd also help define the inner thigh area.
It's looking good… but if you're going to show the model from a different angle, please leave it at that angle instead of tilting it for just a second and then back in place…I wasn't able to really see what you were trying to show off with it moving that fast.
May 4, 2009 at 7:48 pm #83104ReasonParticipantThank you for your suggestions Reason. Would you be able to take a snapshot of the model and sketch some correction lines on top of it to illustrate what you are saying?
Here are some sketches to show you what I meant. Naturally, everyone's going to have a slightly different opinion on ideal proportions, etc, but hopefully they show how the satorius (inside) and tensor fasciae latae (outside) sort of look like a pair of calipers that are attached to the end of the pelvic ridge and travel down either side of the quad muscles and eventually insert into the lower knee.
Good luck with the rest of your model. I look forward to when you hit the Zbrush stage.
May 4, 2009 at 10:00 pm #83105CGMannParticipantThanks for all of your suggestions guys.. I will work on them. In version 9, I gave her a facial and a light wrap.. She was complaining about it being chilly. 😉
May 5, 2009 at 1:06 am #83106CGMannParticipantVery minor changes in version 10. I moved her head forward so her neck has a more natural lean. And I made her chest and assdoman thicker when viewed from the side.
This is probably the last update I can do for a while, as I have to work on another project.
May 5, 2009 at 11:06 pm #83107CGMannParticipantHere's a little update. I gave her hands. And I also ripped up and re-topologized her forearms. I am much happier with the flow of the muscles there now. I just need to patch up those holes (woops).
EDIT: The top side of her arm is looking quite nice now. The underside however still needs work.
May 6, 2009 at 3:14 am #83108CGMannParticipantDoop de doo.. The size of the holes on the sides of her head has been signifigantly reduced. I am now calling her "Flexia."
May 6, 2009 at 5:06 am #83109ReasonParticipantI guess Flexia wasn't quite finished with you yet. ;D Good thing for us too.
The upper body has improved quite a lot since the last update I downloaded. Actually, the whole thing seems to have come together quite quickly, especially for the fiddly bits like the head and hands. I would love to see a low-res wireframe of your mesh.

Well I have been tinkering with her here and there while also working on the other project. 🙂

May 6, 2009 at 1:14 pm #83111CGMannParticipantIn Turntable 13, I gave her arms the once-over. The rotation is different to help showcase said guns.
