    Okay Reason,

My other project is complete but rendering.  So I cannot crank out more and more turntable anims.  But here is a still image: LINK

I tore up her thigh and have been re-arranging the muscles on them.  I also modified her crotch.  It's not finished yet and still needs lots of cleaning up.

Wow, I'm liking the thighs a whole lot better now, but that's not surprising. Hopefully some other people will give their opinion as to which they like better.

I know they're not finished, and it could be the angle, but it looks like the tensor fasciae latae muscle still needs a bit of beefing up to match the satorius.

Thanks Reason.  I am liking the new design more too.  I will increase the size of that central muscle.  Haven't had time with Flexia lately but I am going out of town for the next 3 days and I'm bringing my MacBookPro with me..  So hopefully I can get a bunch of modeling done on her while I am away.  Who knows, maybe I can even post updates while I'm out there.. Depends on how good the internet is in the hotel.  Cheers!

    Hey..

I spent more time on her thighs.  I hope I didn't overdo the details.  Check out Flexia_WIP_15.JPG.  I didn't bring my 3D proggy.. Just the modeler, so excuse the lack of shadows and SSS. 🙂

Wow, the quads are looking fantastic! Really well done! However, there still does look like there is a muscle missing on the at the top, on the outside. Also, are you even going to bother taking it into ZBrush anymore? It looks like you can get some pretty good detail in there, just using your modeler (Silo2, right?).

Could you show me again by sketching on my image perhaps?  Or if you have a photo that shows this muscle well..  Show me that too.

Ya still gonna bring her into ZBrush.  I'm not gonna use ZBrush to add muscles where there are none (with the exception of her abdominals).  ZBrush will be used to add finer details such as sirations and veins.  The less details in the model (and the more details in ZBrush), the less control I have over them for animation.

Yes I am modeling in Silo2.  I will rig and animate in..  Well actually I am not 100% certain yet, but probably Lightwave.  But I am also considering rigging her in XSI.

Woah…  I just realied..  My MacBookPro is really heated up!  Hope it doesn't overheat.

Anywhoo..  I've made a bunch of changes in the wee hours of the morning.  Areas I focused on are the sides (inner and outer) of her thighs, the back of her thighs, and the back of her shoulder.  There might be other little tweaks here and there.

I cannot make a turntable anim here, so check out 16a, 16b and 16c for various views at the usual location.

This little production diary really is becoming quite epic in scale. 🙂  If you see any glaring problems, please post a photo or something that illustrates the problem.  Thanks. 🙂

Those are some pretty hot polygons your MacBook is having to process. Can you blame it for overheating? ;D

The back looks really nicely detailed now. If anything the front biceps and forearms are lagging behind a bit.

For the outer hip-flexor muscles, again I recommend checking out pictures of Lisa Auckland. You could also do worse than her when you're looking for reference pictures of calf muscles!

If you look to where the hip-flexors (tensor faciae latae and satorius) attach to the pelvis, they are more or less symmetrical. I would at least create some extra polygons for the outer hip flexor, then you can decide how prominent to make it.

Anyway, love how its shaping up. Please keep the updated coming.

How's this (17)?  Added the tensor faciae latae.  The satorius wasn't missing, right?  I also did some sculpting on the butt (not visible).
