The first mistake I see in Act II: Operation Broken Mirror is simple: squads treat the Mega Abomination like a bigger normal enemy. It isn’t. This thing punishes lazy movement, split damage, and messy comms. If you’ve been practising routes, aim, or timing in Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies, that can help you feel sharper, but the real fight still comes down to discipline. The Exotic Weapon Case is worth the stress, especially with rewards tied to weapons like the Pulsebreach and Reboot, yet you won’t get near it if everyone runs in chasing damage numbers.

Build the squad before you open the fight
Don’t let people “just bring what they like.” That’s how runs die. You want one player acting as the anchor, usually a Tank or Breacher with Thermal Spike, pulling the boss into a spot where the team can read its movement. A Pyro should be cleaning up smaller enemies and stopping armor recovery with constant area damage. Then you need a Support who actually plays support, not someone who forgets Healing Aura exists until three people are crawling on the floor. Aether Shroud can save a bad moment too, especially during revives.

Bring weapons that can stay in the fight
This isn’t the place for a flashy multiplayer setup with a tiny magazine and pretty recoil control. You need guns that keep firing when the boss exposes a weak point. LMGs like the XMG work well because you’re not reloading every five seconds. Fast shotguns can also do work if your team can control space. Incendiary rounds are great for pressure, while Shrapnel rounds help rip through armor. Keep Stim Shots ready. Not in your backpack. Ready. When your screen goes red, one second of hesitation can turn into a full wipe.

Handle the armor phase with patience
At the start, don’t dump rounds into the middle of the creature and hope for the best. Aim at the glowing joints and the central shell pieces. Call the target out, burn it together, then move to the next one. That sounds basic, but plenty of squads fail because every player is shooting a different plate. Drop Thermal Spike under the boss when it’s locked in place, then rotate if it shifts. Once the armor breaks, the room gets ugly. Elite adds pour in, and this is where people panic. Use drones to pull attention, chain stuns where you can, and clear the space before thinking about boss damage again.

Stay alive when it starts to rage
When the Mega Abomination gets low, the fight changes pace. It charges harder, leaves corruption on the floor, and forces you off comfortable angles. Don’t stand still trying to finish it with one brave magazine. Slide, sprint, reload on the move, and keep the outer edge of the arena in mind. Thermites and Semtex should be saved for this stretch if possible. After the kill, grab the case and move straight to extraction, because hanging around is asking for trouble. Some players look for ways to practise or buy Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies to smooth out their grind, but inside this encounter, clean roles and calm calls are what get the loot home.
