Still reading. I confess, my natural habitat is more in the erotic mind control range, but I just tend to like this kind of drawn out story where there’s an ebb and flow to the story – some good people are getting lucky breaks, some nice guys, well, sucks to be you – <G>.
I’ve enjoyed the Marilyns Email box concept, in part because I’m a frustrated writer myself and the email box gives me a chance to write a short ‘one off’ in your universe without feeling like it has to match anyone else’s skill at writing – after all, if it sucks, I didn’t write it = Pizza Pi did – <G>.

Being a struggling FMG writer I must admit I’m in awe at the depth and continuity you have maintained with the characters and plot. I know from experience how hard it is to maintain quality work as you expand on a story. You are an inspiration to all.

Not only still reading but but enjoying your work!
April 16, 2005 at 6:12 am #3488CowprobeParticipantI’m still reading if only spurred by the pedigree of your other stories.
Since one of your characters actually ‘answered’ a letter from one of mine (Cory William Probe) I’ve got some real emotional investment going on ๐
Since these ladies have already transformed the world as a result of their furious musings it would be interesting to see the world through the next generations eyes.
Maybe an odd follow up minichapter that plays like one of those college film pre-credits epilogues "Juliet was the first woman president" or something to that effect.
Little snap shots of their lives that still could be laced with the sort of tension that triggers ye olde ‘Erotic Pavlovian Response" ๐ณ ๐
As long as you keep writing I’ll keep reading. I love how you allow the characters personalities to take them down paths that make sense. No fear for the welfare of fictional beings from you ๐
April 16, 2005 at 7:47 am #3489minimanmaxParticipantwell i guess we all are saying is we love your work and would love to see it continue on. the e-mail box was fun. may be next time we could do a rp thing where every one write with in a few given rules to keep things fair.
Like we all said we can’t wait for your next chapter.
April 16, 2005 at 8:48 am #3490Erik Von HalleParticipantHi Marknew,
I’ve read everything of yours posted on SheGrew and Diana the Valkyrie and if I had money I’d buy the stories from elpub.com and lhart.com.
I really enjoy this genre and recommend
http://www.thevalkyrie.com/stories/puppetmn/lbdii.txtThis is the story that impressed me most.
The SuperFem world.
Marknew, Helplesscase and Puppetman all have SuperFem stories on DtV.
I keep thinking though there has to be more than one pendant. If magic works in this world what are the magicians and wizards doing? Are there any people that are imune to magic and are unchanged? Is there a secret society of magic users? I find it hard to beleive that there is only one magical device in the whole world.
If those who live by the sword, die by the sword, then do those who use magic get used by magic to a poetical end?

No one is immune to magic, but the magicians and wizards normally give each other enough space to play without interference. After all, it’s more fun for all of them if they get to use their powers on helpless muggles who can’t fight back rather than having their spells constantly tinkered with by other magicians who think they know how to do it better.

Generally not in my stories. ๐
April 16, 2005 at 9:28 pm #3492AnonymousGuestThese stories I find enthralling, although I often find myself concluding, "I am relieved that I don’t live in a world like THAT!"
I wonder if there are going to be any other wizards appearing in later chapters. That could be interesting, although magic as a plot device does tend to lend itself to deus ex machina resolutions.
Still, even if Harry Potter apparated in, raised his wand, and shouted something like "Viraugeo!" It would still be an awesome story.
What I’m saying is. Mark, you’re a master of plot fabricature.
