As good as the animation is, I still see those fights more pandering to the fighting fetish fans rather tan “empowering” . I said it before; WW was a fetishist creation, and it’s not that she can’t evolve from that, it’s that the superhero industry doesn’t want to take that step. She could be a more complex character, but not that much:” A woman in a very small one piece badly masqueraded as a grecorroman armor. She’s fit, beautiful and she fights. A lot.” You can’t build up that too much.
It sounds pedantic, I know, but let’s not waste our hopes in the character becoming much more that it can be…let’s not forget that when she was made member of the Justice League/Battallion/Group/Whatever, her job was as a secretary:
