ParticipantI've pitched something potentially profitable to DCM in the past, but he hasn't taken the bait.
Of course piracy is still going to be an issue. Yhaoo Groups and Peer to Peer networks will take their toll on any enterprise like this. Toss in a little competition from established pay sites like LH-Art and other assorted providers and it seems likely this will be one very tough job.
CM had a good point that I have tried making (to little avail) that having characters that are a wee bit more complicated then the typical stereotype is what keeps the folks coming back on a regular basis. It’s one of the few ways to reach to a wider audience beyond the niche of sexual attraction. What folks may have not noticed is how limiting the stereotype can be to us artists. It’s as if every single story, character trait, and casual reference needs to be directly linked to extreme physical strength. It can be extremely frustrating when a story idea goes in different direction.

ParticipantYou produce some of the cleanest pencils I’ve seen. Almost to the point of being inks. Makes a slob like me jealous. 😀
Nice looking picture. Love the little extras like unicorn tattoo. Good job.

ParticipantPart of the money for art deal is influenced by the wealth of free materials on the web. If all a person has to do is wait a little bit for photos and videos to find their way to yahoo groups and peer to peer networks, it doesn’t make much sense to go and pay for the stuff. Or I should say, in the short run it doesn’t make sense. In the long run the professionals will likely drift away to other more lucrative jobs and the remaining material will be the few scraps that get tossed out on the forums as a result of a hobby interest in fem muscle.
When I ran my little poll over at Rextra I was surprised that anyone was actually paying for this stuff. Apparently their is a small audience willing to toss a few dollars at a select few artists on an irregular basis. Just how much longer this will be the case remains to be seen.
