Phenoms, hi..
I’m on Patreon (my site is in my signature, and I’m gonna attach a link). It’s a good site for hosting independent art & stories, etc (and making a couple bucks). But most of the community you seem to be seeking, happens behind paywalls on Patreon. From time to time, I’ll post some free art samples, but to really see stuff (& communicate with patrons and friends) you have to make a monetary pledge. Then artists and patrons can message one another, comment on art postings. I enjoy it, but it isn’t typically an open community.
At some point, I’m hoping to start a thread in this forum to share some of my Patreon activity..
https://www.patreon.com/6298art6.2.98ParticipantAnd here, I rather liked the ’02 Cartoon Network relaunch of the series.
I’m with you. I liked the early 2ooos series. Artwork was good, they were pretty faithful to the original series.. and it filled in some backstory (that wasn’t really necessary for the original). When the original series ran, kids didn’t really care about character backstory. But I think as the fanbase aged, the 2ooos series was a good opportunity to explain why Skeletor was angry, etc.
Now the early 90s ‘New Adventures’ of He-man was (my opinion) an unfortunate departure from original canon, etc. They really went off script with the aesthetics, and if I remember right, completely reworked supporting cast, but..guess they were trying to sell new toys.
6.2.98ParticipantThe thread’s original post mentions Teagan Clive’s (obscure) movies.. There is a sci-fi channel (Comet) that runs some of her movies from time to time. I’ve watched ‘Interzone’ and ‘Alienator’ there. Comet tends to rerun their movies in monthly cycles. Both flicks were from Teagan’s massive prime (late 80s/early 90s). She’s a legend.
6.2.98ParticipantThe Uncle Grandpa cartoon had a cool cameo, with a Mad Max type female bodybuilder named Xarna.
(I’m having trouble trying to add a pic, but run an image search on her. She’s an intense musclebound mean girl.)
6.2.98ParticipantGood call, she does resemble Ralabate.. only thing she’s really missing is the mane of big hair.
I miss the halcyon days of big muscles & big hair.. Karla Nelsen, Judy Moshkosky, etc.. (nostalgic sigh).
6.2.98ParticipantI know I’m pointing out the obvious here.. she has some epic thigh muscles. And I like how stout she looks in off-season shape. <3
6.2.98ParticipantYawn. Amazons are still buff and Gadot is still skinny?
I do like the retro 80’s vibe.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfM7_JLk-84I was kinda indifferent about the Wonder Woman movie(s). I thought they were basically average. But I think they did a killer job recreating a mid ‘8os mall. The details were perfect, and it looked like a lot of work went in to the research & recreation. They nailed it with Waldenbooks & Spencer Gifts, etc in the background. Only thing I didn’t see was an Orange Julius, but maybe I missed it ~
6.2.98ParticipantBeautiful figure competitor.
InstagramThanks for the upload, Olivia’s a good looking athlete. In this pic she reminds me of ’90s Jacque Till
6.2.98ParticipantSimply gorgeous.
yeah, she is a classic beauty, with the added bonus of muscle.
I noticed she recently filmed a wrestling clip with Awefilms (‘Vegas Domination’). Looking good ~6.2.98Participant -
