ParticipantJimmy Dimples, that was a great scene. Very touching and realistic considering teenagers fatalistic views on things.
I’m sure if something like what happened in the story happened in real life, there would be a significant number of suicides. Can you imagine suddenly having all your dreams or career taken away from you? That athletic schollarship you just won…or your career in the military or in the police, etc…
Interesting point.

ParticipantBut they begin to learn from kindengarden that boys should not hit girls. So in this context, a boys physical power does not "normally" affect girl’s power structure.
Well, that’s what they should do, but it doesn’t always work out that way. One does read about boys using their strength to take advantage of girls, every now and then.
It does happen on ocassion, that’s why I used the word "normally". Still, it’s a deviant behavior looked down upon by both other boys and girls. At least in my world, boys that beat up girls are asking for a beating of their own.
In the long run, the codes boys learn to live by (such as never hit a girl) would be eventually transfered to the girls, and a certain immunity would be confered to the weaker males, such as occurs today with girls. But I imagine there would be this whole adaptation period , where both genders wouldn’t really know how to deal with their power or lack of.
It’s that "transition period" I enjoy writing about, when no one knows exactly what the rules are, when suddenly the tables are turned, when demonstrative slaps become knock-out punches. "Oh sorry! Guess I don’t know my own strength, these days, heh-heh."
Agreed. It’s the period I enjoy reading the most too.
IMO, it would be much more interesting to see what would it be like to see girls become super strong and muscular, while retaining their normal inherent female behavior.
That’s the reason I’ve written the story with a large cast of characters, so that I can portray different reactions to the situation. From what you’ve said, I think you’d be more interested in how Michelle and Cecile react, as opposed to Theresa, Sandy and Celia. But it’s all there.
Well…it wouldn’t hurt to see that super brat learn that some of the other girls are as strong or stronger then her, and they are not too keen on seeing their boyfriends getting bullied. 🙂
But I agree with you. That’s also the reason I like these stories with multiple characters. You can view the whole spectrum of people and society. From the nice girls to mean girls to single moms to battered housewifes… You got it all!

But tell me, since I graduated from high school a (very) long time ago, is wit and intelligence the main tool for power in high school these days? In my day, it was strength and beauty.I meant more in terms of society. Highschool is still part of the growth process of a person from child to young adult. So strength counts a lot. But mostly for boys. Girls care more about beauty. But they begin to learn from kindengarden that boys should not hit girls. So in this context, a boys physical power does not "normally" affect girl’s power structure.
I imagine in a scenario such as yours, there would be a certain confusion regarding roles and behavior.
Of course, a lot of each genders behaviour, lies not on their level of stength, but on hormones. If your females had their growth related to high testosterone levels, they would eventually become agressive as boys are. IMO, it would be much more interesting to see what would it be like to see girls become super strong and muscular, while retaining their normal inherent female behavior.

ParticipantWell…
Bush would probably see this as some act of god. Then again, he might see this as a terrorist attack and invade Norway or something. 😉
One thing that the government would probably have to do fast, would be to quickly recruit and train females for the police, military and other important activities that require physical strength. That would probably be something to be announced by the president.
I just hope you don’t go overboard on this, and completely change the power structure, because we’re not on stone age anymore. Wit and intelligence are the main tools for power in this age.
About the class discussion, I think Cowprobe gave some good sugestions.
I’m anxious to read this chapter.

ParticipantYeah…that ending was very disturbing. Didn’t sleep well that night, and I may have spoken harsh things about you and your progenitor, Mark. Sorry about that. 😉

ParticipantI thought you were referring to the book "The Pool of Radiance" from the Forgotten Realms/Heroes of Phlan Trilogy.
I read it long ago. It’s a bit childish for my tastes (like most D&D books), but I really enjoyed it, being that the character Shal turns herself into a huge muscular amazon and all.
Female muscle aside, if you enjoy reading fantasy (like I do) , there are two ways you should definately go. One is the ongoing series "Song of Ice and Fire", by George R.R. Martin, and the other is the also ongoing series "Malazan Book of the Fallen" by Steven Erikson. The latter has some female muscle in it, but that not the reason to read it. It’s just great. Both are. No predictable good-vs-evil-farmboy-finds-sword kind of thing. It’s all shades of grey with three dimensional characters.

ParticipantEvery author has his own style and likes, and while only a few can actually surprise you, most of them stick to the same types of characters and endings.
Given the chareteristics of the story you linked, which was heavy D/S, but with a somewhat "loving" angle to it, you might want to read the works of Valerafon, Uplifted, Plowjack, Puppetman and a few others in Diana The Valkyrie library.

ParticipantI was going for the "there’s so much going on that it’s hard to categorize it as just FMG or GTS" reason myself.
I’ll be delving in all sorts of things, since it’s not just the ladies who get the growth. Things like bioethics, religion, the politics of starvation… and the occasional buxom muscle babe. 😉
Just one question… when does FMG bleed over into GTS territory? I personally draw the arbitrary line at 7 feet 6 inches tall myself.
All those sociological changes you’re refering to, are related to the fact that women have become huge and powerful mucles babes, while men became weak as children. In the end it’s still a FMG oriented story. It’s not about women growing penises, giant feet or hugely disproportionate boobs. Some people (like me) tend to avoid comming here, because some of the weirder fetishes makes us (me) unconfortable. The only reason I stopped by, was because I saw your name as the author of the last post.
About the amazon/gts boundaries, it’s pretty subjective. If I ever saw a 7’6" woman personally, I would think of her as a giantess. But in stories, I figure my amazon-limit, would be up to 9′ tall. Just my opinion.

ParticipantOn another word, I think you should post this under muscle growth. Even though the growing happened previously, it is still muscle related. As to this forum, it’s usually related to other types of growth, that a lot of muscle lovers tend to avoid.

ParticipantThanks a lot! This was a great start.
I’m really looking forward to reading the next Monty story!
