    Geez, took me awhile to find this… I should go to Free For All more often. Why BTX ? …simple really….

    BT… my initials…. X… well because of what I draw, I took it to mean "Xtreme" but it's the "cool" letter re: X-Men, Malcolm X, X (the punk band), X-rated and so on.

    Be honest with you… I'm seeing this in the same light as PAD's take on Supergirl. The whole "earth angel" was a misconceived idea from the get go. PAD seemed to realize his mistake but took steps too late to correct them. The book was canceled and "punched" out of continuity by Superboy Prime.

    I'd just wish they'd stop insisting this film is gonna be IN CANON. I think it could work very well on its own, like James Bond. No one confuses Sean Connery's Bond as being in the same continuity as Roger Moore's or Danny Craig. But making it "canon" annoys me. Gene Roddenberry is long dead, but I'm tired of this "we can do this better with kewl effects" bullshit.

    The time for femuscular characters to shine WILL come, just don't expect it to be in the TV Terminator series.

    If not the Terminator… a movie that gave a reason for muscle in a movie… cannot be expected to promote a femuscular character, not even a female terminator (sorry Summer), then you can forget about She Hulk, or whatever strength based  amazon that's out there.

    Well, I did see T2 on original release; the audience audibly gasped when they saw Linda Hamlilton's back as she was doing pullups. She made the cover of New York Magazine as the example of the "new woman" (The article was mostly negative. Linda was compared to an ape  >:( >:( )

    I'm not surprised however that the 'new' Sarah Connor is a weed. As I said in another thread, 'stunt-fu' and CGI can make women toss cars and two hundred pound stuntmen with ease. Muscles were only supposed to be a visual signifier of a woman's amazonian prowess. But that is no longer necessary. Even American Gladiators is downsized ( "Hellga" couldn't take "Zap" on her best day).

    EDIT: I should make clear that if the Chronicles is a successful long running series, and the actress undergoes a modest regimen you could see some impressive results in say two or three years.
