    Calm down boys…!  ๐Ÿ˜‰

While I totally dissagree with this article, I can also see where they're coming from.  Most women throughout the world are totally content to be small weak and demure.  Now if they feel pressured into working out, this is most likely the approach they'll take.

It's a very good thing that any woman serious about working out has access to facilities and training programs that will help her reach her goals.  Anything is possible!  I just wish that people like Tracey didn't get so much media attention and coverage…

I think (certainly it's the explanation in my case) that we're raging here because of what you said – the pressure on girls is bad enough, then the likes of this woman come along, and, either through their own ignorance or (more likely, IMO) opportunistic tactics, take advantage of the reticence of most of these girls by reassuring them that, if they never work-out with anything heavier than 3 pound dumbells they won't end-up looking like "teh Ahhhnold" circa 1980.  In fact, if you look at the article linked-to by the personal trainer who is ranting about this, mostly the resistance isn't even as much as three pounds, but only gravity and air resistance. ::)

I'd love to see photos of someone like Pauline Nordin offseason on billboards with a note underneath saying something like "I workout with heavy weights"  or  "Lifting heavy made me look this hot" as I think most girls think they'll look unfeminine and ugly if they pump iron.  The only thing that will do that is excessive steroid use (please note my use of the word "excessive").

I have, and it's an incredible testimonial for those jaded  by Pro FBBing as to how positive the building of a body can be.  Her physique is astonishing.

I love her long, flowing hair next to the huge, hard muscles! 8)

When someone asks me what I prefer, and I say off-season, but tone-defined . . . well, it doesn't get any better then this.  8)

in contest shape these days.  If I ran an FBBing show, this would be the stage of conditioning I'd be encouraging the judges to go for.  Another bonus isd that I think it would prove to be more popular with the semi-casual punter as well.

I must be one of the few who prefers her as a natural brunette. ::)  Anyway, her contest shape looks good to me – hard and very defined but not totally dry and looking like a piece of your US beef jerky.  It's how I think FBBers should look on stage.

No one is making an argument to restrict the vote.

Oh Lingster – you are a truly great site owner, but you can be so exasperating LOL! ;D  I KNOW you're not arguing for restricting voting, but you said twice that you would prefer it if certain people didn't vote, which is the antithesis of my philosophy.  The more eligible people that vote, the greater the winner's mandate is.  It is also a qeustion of our differing philosophies; you would prefer it if the less well-educated didn't bother to vote, whereas I want to educate those people and then try to inspire as many as can be inspired to turn out to the ballot.

Mimi's in with some quite heavy-duty opinionated guys there – I reckon she'll be fine! ;D

    Very interesting, thanks Alex.
