Long time no see! I still maintain that your artwork was some of the hottest I’ve ever seen!

She was on the One Show on Friday – let’s hope she goes on to achieve in her sport. B)

She’s not averse to hyping her latest exploits, so I’d take that claim with a pinch of salt.

I didn’t post the Daily Mail link, because it’s a horrid paper – reactionary, right-wing in an aggressive way, and sneers at anyone different to their ideal.

Fair play to her; she’s hardly the only American who’s very religious (to us Europeans the US can seem close to a theocracy at times LOL   ), and she doesn’t want to use gear, which I applaud.

Infamous (and very funny) reviewer Mark Kermode, a fellow Brit, quite liked her performance.

You know, I really don’t get why so many of my fellow members are so negative about the move to the physique category. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m not a purist about FBBing as many here are; maybe it’s that I’m a Brit and somehow have a more “European” attitude to these things; I don’t know. I just don’t see it as a problem. Yes, it does mean a reduction in muscularity (though if you compare the average physique competitor to the average woman on the street, the reduction is actually tiny, comparatively-speaking), but look at the advantages; fewer Ving Rhames voices, less acne, fewer square jaws, more attractive offseason shots because the women are likely to keep their looks, and, the biggest advantage of all; the remote chance that female muscularity may become popular again.

Great to see her back to physical training and possible competition. I think physique is probably a better option for her than out-and-out BBing was. Then again, I get the impression that physique is the direction the sport’s heading in anyway.

OP – your post and user ID makes it sound as though you are Rene herself. Can you clarify this, please, as the other members seem to think you’re just reporting on her.

I like the photo of her in the tight white dress! :woohoo:
