ParticipantROFL – I know of where you sarcastically speak, comrade. But so far as I know she never got banned, for a while, as did Paula Birkenshaw – she had a set of balls to give the Weiderites and their lackey judges the finger at a show she had won (in the overwhelming opinion of the audience), but wasn't awarded the prize that she had earned.
Sort of similar to what happened a few yrs later to Laura Creavalle, too – was cheated of her Ms O title. Do we detect a pattern here . . . 😉

But Der Fuhrer of Bodybuilding doesn't have to ban someone to torpedo a career. Since he owns just about everything media in the BB world, all he has to do not give them press or pictures in one of his myriad of magazines, have the cameras taping the competition to avoid showing them, influence with the judges.
Ben Weider is to bodybuilding what Bernie Ecclestone and Max Mosley are to Formula 1 racing. Or Tony George was to IndyCar. >:(

IMHO, THAT was the golden age of female bodybuilding. It was when I first realized the beauty of a fit, muscular woman.

BTW, check out the sets of pics before and after. The ones before are from 2007 and her forearms are pretty nice in those. In the after set, if you ignore her boyfriend, she's wearing a tank top. ;D
