    This topic comes up more often now because many sites track users in ways that go beyond cookies. Fingerprinting is one of those methods and it affects privacy security and account management. Even if someone is not planning to use special tools it is still useful to understand how browsers can be identified and what data is shared by default.

    Steam can work offline but the process is not always obvious. It helps to review clear steps so the user does not ask for a new login when the network drops.
