I guess I’m the token "Men’s Rights!" guy in these parts.

Well, if there’s more than one of us "men’s rights" guys, you’re not a token, right?

Seriously, that’s why I’m not a bigger fan of LH-Art’s stuff (and why I haven’t done more than I have for them). I’m not at all a fan of domination or humiliation (of either sex by the other).

(hey, dcmatthews, can I bum your slaphappy laughing emoticon here?)

Help yourself; I nicked it off another message board myself! Just right-click on it and download…

Oh, you need one to actually click on! Well, here’s one, with proper context: What do Kim Jong-Il and a spud shaped like a penis have in common? They’re both dictators!!

Get it? "dick taters!" I kill me!! …and you guys probably want to now, too!!

I can’t let my cat Booger see this pic; he still hasn’t forgiven me for having him "snipped" years ago, and this’ll only make him worse… "Look at what I could’ve had, except for YOUUU!!"

(Yes, the Boogster thinks he’d have had a chance with her… what an ego…)

    Wonderful work!

Guess who placed that one lone vote to continue the Dyna story…

I love your artwork and have actually used a couple of your pics as a referrence for some of my own drawings (hope you don’t mind).

Well, I’m flattered! …and a little frightened: someone’s using my work for reference when I still have so much to learn (and relearn!!) about drawing figures. (and cars, and buildings, and weapons, and…)

I’ve always been a huge comic book fan but they have always been scared to put any female muscle in the books so when I first got hooked up to the net about 6 years ago and found your page I became a regular to your sight and check it often.

Yeah, that lack of female muscle in comics is largely what spurred me to create my characters. And I’m sure more than a few other writers and artists on this very board will list that as an impetus themselves.

Have you ever thought of scetching a pic of the new UBER she- hulk from the last couple issues of her comic? Keep up the great work.

Mmmwellll, I don’t want to spoil what’s probably supposed to be a surprise, but there will be something like an uber-buffed She-Hulk drawing by me on the Web in the near future…

That’s a lovely effect there, DCM! Thanks for the alternate version in the story. It makes a fantastic desktop too! Thanks for all your hard work.

I hadn’t seen Sonia’s desktop on the ‘spicier desktops’ page before. Are you thinking of transferring a few more Dyna/Tetsuko pics into desktops in the near future? They’re really great!

    Thanks for the compliments!

As for making more desktops of Tetsuko or Dyna art: I’d have to create new art for those; the comics I’ve done so far (up to Dyna) have not been drawn large enough to make good desktop pics especially at the larger sizes (1024×768 and up). The Dyna desktop was a lucky break… I’m doing the original art for each strip at 2870 by 2250 (which is reduced to 755 by 592 for the web, almost 75%), so getting a desktop pic at even 1600 by 1200 was no problem; usually I’d have to enlarge the art which of course spoils the detail. But keep watching; I intend to add more desktops when I get the inspiration (and time) to do them.

Will Dyna have any superhero friends? 😀

Haven’t decided yet… one thing I don’t want to do is populate this particular "universe" with too many superbeings, lest we dilute what makes Dyna special.

That said, having a friend or two in the "superhero" community could make for some interesting reading; give Dyna someone she can "talk shop" with. That kind of thing.

Clever! …although I’m not familiar with the song, so I’m probably not getting the full effect.

"Emanciated"…is that a combination of the words "emaciated" and "emancipated"?

I love the next to last line "I think my little parody just got abbreviated". Reminds me of some of the lyrics from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode "Once More with Feeling", the song "Walk Through the Fire":

SPIKE: First I’ll save her, then I’ll kill her

WILLOW: I think this line’s mostly filler

I second your recommendation for the Hogarth books, although I’d count Dynamic Figure Drawing as at least as "essential" as Dynamic Anatomy. Hogarth is especially useful because he was the illustrator for many years (many years ago) of the Tarzan Sunday comic strips; thus his knowledge is especially applicable to comics illustration.
