I hate these links to Live Journal. If you don't belong to the site, they take you to a no man's land.

Remember Superman the animated series. There was an episode where he frees a woman from the phantom zone named Mala. When she learns about the powers she will get while on earth she is intrigued. after a while she is at full power and her arms are a bit muscular and she does a quick flex.

I took a frame grab of that shot, printed it, and had the actress who voiced Mala, Leslie Easterbrook, sign it at a con in 2005.

The actress playing She-Hulk is not a bodybuilder, she's not gigantic, she's not actually green. What good actress would be? My model for her was very much the John Byrne She-Hulk, who was basically very feminine and looked like any other Byrne female, just bigger, brasher and more powerful.

Rather like the difference between Christopher Reeve and the way they draw Superman in the comics. Christopher Reeve is a human – Superman is a cartoon. That's the difference.

While Chris Reeve may not have been as muscular as Superman is in the comics, he was still muscular. A She-Hulk film with a non-muscular actress might as well be a movie about an Orion slave girl. Guess you can add this film to the shelf that holds such films as Batman:Dead End and the "trailers" for World's Finest & Grayson.

Would you care to elaborate? I'm still unconvinced as to why she left the law firm and settled into a trailer park. And she comes off like a geek when she makes the pop culture jokes.

It's hard to put into words. How does a writer as good as Peter David take Jennifer, who was a lawyer/superhero, and turn her into a distaff Colt Severs? Hell, he had a better place to live and a better set of wheels. There's that quote where David said that, with proper handling, She-Hulk could be Marvel's WW. WW hasn't had a job this bad since Bill Leobs stuck her in a fast food joint. This all might've been made easier to swallow if we had seen Jenn's departure from the law firm, hooking up with Super Skrull's daughter, and setting up this bounty hunter job.

The more I hear about this film, the less interested I am in seeing it. The Enterprise had been commanded by Robert April & Christopher Pike before Kirk came along so, it would already be in use while Kirk was in the academy.

And yes, I'm one of those rabid Trek fans.

People aren't usually rendered unconscious with their eyes open. He looked pretty dead to me.

After all that WWH nonsense, I was happy to see Hulk/Banner die, then Banner turns up in the new Hulk book.

Yes, that was very cool but, I think it was time for her to go, and MJ to stay. Plus, now that no one knows Pete's identity, she won't be doing things like that anymore.

Dumb idea. Why bring Harry back? I can understand having everyone forget his identity, but Harry? Why? Now that both my mother & grandmother are gone, I think it was time for May Parker to go.
