Alba and Mara’s failure as Sue Storm got nothing to do with thier dyed hair or contact lenses. They where bad because the scrip wasn’t good, the director didn’t get a good performance from them, and they aren’t that great actresses in the first place.

Truth is, as movie goers we don’t know how many time actors or actresses dye their hair or use a wig when their performance is good.

I don’t think so. In the interview she says that it is the money. WoS did an effort and got really good prices both in money for all their FBB shows and also a car for the winner of the “Olympia” replacement. So, now she decides to come back so she can make money.
