FlakBaitKeymasterMine is a commentary on the fact that while humans may cloak ourselves in intricate patterns of societal ceremonies when you strip away that with which we identify ourselves, at our core, we are not much different from the other animals on this planet in our behavior and that we can all identify with some deep seated need to belong as well as interact with a group of like minded beings simultaneously keeping a sense of individuality to avoid losing ourselves in the ocean of existence…but I am fairly certain that was obvious to all
FlakBaitKeymasterWe were thrilled back in January when we heard that, after 13 years, Duke Nukem Forever was FINALLY going to be released on May 3, 2011. But we should have known it was too good to be true. Because Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software, just came forward in a video to sheepishly announce that the game’s release would be delayed AGAIN.
For whatever reason, the launch date has been pushed back to June 14 (and June 10 internationally). Check out Pitchford’s “very special message” about Duke Nukem Forever below.

FlakBaitKeymasterThe Daily Beast got an early look at the pilot script and chose a few points to discuss online. It expands some on the info from my first post
Article here http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2011-02-02/wonder-woman-a-sneak-peak-at-david-e-kelleys-script/
Be advised…..it is actually more painful then I thought it would be…..

It looks like a freaking Halloween costume, oh my god this show is going to suck so bad.
I found it entertaining that the costumes used in the Wonder Woman porn parody’s have less latex in them 😛
FlakBaitKeymasterI’ve got no problem with copyright laws. My problem is with the way they’ve been enforced, especially amongst the music industry. Backhanded tactics, illegal use of unlicensed investigators, reverse class action lawsuits targeting thousands of “doe defendants” that have no attorneys to defend them with little facts to back up the massive damage claims filed in different states with different laws.
The DMCA which was hailed as a landmark legislative piece to safeguard the rights of content owners has been twisted into an enforcement tool used to stifle aftermarket competition in everything from garage door openers to ink toner and cartridges and as used by apple to force everyone to use its own software and services on the iPad and iPhone by locking the devices to the apple app store. Corporations have used it as a bullying club to threaten legitimate research into cyber security and vulnerabilities in software. Restrictive DRM that limits what a person can do with something they have legally purchased.
I don’t think anybody here was arguing that piracy should be ignored. It’s the way copyright laws and the legal system have been twisted and abused.
