ParticipantAustralian figure competitor dressed up as Wonder Woman recently at the INBA. She won bronze.
Although she’s a blonde she had the body and stature that Gal Gadot could only hope to achieve in a lifetime.

ParticipantShe looks like a bodybuilder version of Sasha Grey.

ParticipantI rented “Assault on Arkham” and thought they better not sell this to kids. Most of DC’s 52 style animation is too obtuse and serious for my tastes. The animated “Dark Knight Returns” was a wake up call on how much B.S. has been created into the Batman mythos. It’s cynical, narrow-minded, and anti-social.
If DC wishes to pursue that route then the Superfriends are gone. Let their films be distinguished by sacrifice and betrayal instead.
With the upcoming Captain Marvel film there is so much potential to have a heroine that has powers and can be great. I’m not giving up on that until we see a trailer.

ParticipantLook to better sources for this kind of news. Variety isn’t as prompt as some comic book sites but they jump quickly to speculation. The casting of Wonder Woman went through the same hoopla and we should learn from that.

ParticipantMarvel movies are mediocre at best (IMO), I can’t remember a great Marvel movie.
If that’s how you like. I’m just glad Black Panther and Capt. Marvel got the green light.
Personally, these characters are better achieved in animation. The same goes for DC.

Participantcan anyone say “my super ex girll friend”?
if it anything like the green lantern I’ll pass!“My Super Ex-Girlfriend” was a comedy not based on an established title. It wasn’t part of any comic book company. The same with “Ultraviolet” starring Milla Jovovich.

ParticipantIf Jason Mamoa is confirmed for Aquaman, Wonder Woman should hook up with him on film.

ParticipantI’m not holding my breath. Maybe it’s because Marvel has done so much already. Or I’m just turning my attention to other genres. Probably the only big surprise I could get from DC is that they’ll do to Batman what Superman did to Green Arrow’s arm before the first Crisis. Then they’ll have Robin take over the mantle while Bruce forms the Outsiders.

ParticipantOne thing that ticks me off about these adaptions is how there is so much whitewashing in the film adaptions. Appleseed continues to ignore the fact that Briareos was established as a black man in the manga. But instead they’ve referred to his original body as anything but. Deunan is supposed to be of mixed ethnic heritage and they also ignore the fine figure she has as a war veteran.
Now this comes along and I don’t even see how a western adaption will even work. The Snowden leaks should already be an inspiration for a new story. The screenwriter of Contagion has publicly decried the hysteria the ebola outbreak has created when his film already pointed out how medical groups can handle it. Iron Man and Tron fulfill the technology fascination for America. Any future cyber stories should be told with a new angle.

ParticipantHas the enthusiasm for a new live Wonder Woman died down amongst fans? I only read two comics fan forums. One no longer discusses a live action film. The casting of Gal Gadot pretty much killed their endless suggestions of models and actresses who’ve moved on. One site still keeps it up with the same small number of devoted fans.
Maybe the fan’s belief on what is best has been replaced by basic anticipation. There sure isn’t any signs of new enthusiasm from non-comic book fans.
