When I first started with this, I was determined to make the hero "da man" in wits, book smarts, spirit, chutzpah, and non-jerk ego since strength was out of the question.

That’s one thing that bugged me in many FMG or GTS web fictions: the guy was a helpless worm in the lady’s arms, so he rolls over and plays dead.

No girl worth knowing honestly goes for that. She wants someone who can come to the table and respects himself to stand for himself. And in the world of megababes, if you’re not a physical uberdude yourself, you’d dang better bring something in the other departments that makes up for it.

And China? I gots big plans for China. But that’s for another story another day… I’ve got enough on my plate as is in Oz. Though the space program there’s a neat angle I hadn’t considered.

And I hate to break this, folks, but the school year’s starting, and this teacher needs to prep his lessons. I’m gonna be mega-busy. But don’t worry… Chapter 4 will be out by the first week of October, if not earlier. This story’s not over by a long shot.

Thanks for your praise. I was a little worried how well it would have been received, seeing that the world’s women by and large (pun!) are already hulking muscular Amazons, and don’t have much more room to grow. Except for the Yanks.

That’s not to say it won’t happen later. It may be a while in showing up though. I’ll crank it out as soon as I can.

Oh, and Mark, how would you have handled it? Or is that for another story another day?

I have had the good fortune and pleasure of knowing some fantastic tall women.

Some tall women have reinforced my interest and some have given me a reaction similar to bobman345’s.

I think that it has a lot to do with how comfortable they are with being tall and, perhaps more importantly, whether or not they are otherwise attractive (personality-wise and physically).

The tallest woman that I knew was the oldest sister of an old girlfriend. When I was a short H.S. freshman, she played college basketball. She admitted to 6′ 6". When I first met her, she was wearing a bikini. I only came up to whatever that little nubbin is called at the bottom of her breastbone.

That nubbin’s called the xiphoid process. Or, more simply, the tip. 😛

And here’s an amen on the attractiveness on the personality. Character, too. No point in knowing an amazon in body if she’s a midget in heart and spirit.

Couple of things that I wondered…

What if Hazel meets a good friend who’s got really low self esteem, and she tries to push him or her to be more assertive… and then it blows up into a squabble?

Hazel hasn’t been corrupted by this power like in Mistress of the House, has she? If she has, what would be the result if she met someone who had muscle/power/something she wanted… but her victim was perfectly cordial, friendly, mellow, and a true believer in "blessed are the peacemakers"?

I concur, I admired Becky thoroughly.

Faking me out, thinking Amanda was going to be the oppressed heroine, and turning into the bully… that was an art.

I thought the plot twist was going to be Amanda’s caving in under her own oversized mass or something like that, but that worked so well.

And her plans with the amulet with Chris… heh heh!
