That’s just the plain Poser 4.0 renderer. There’s absolutely no postwork in that image – not even my copyright tag (it’s a trans map on a square).

It looks really, really good for Poser 4. I thought you were using volumetric lighting from one of the higher end packages. You definitely need dynamic cloth, though – the regular object clothing is not match for your use of morphs.

ML — love the $3/story idea!

I’m glad you like – Marknew & I used to talk about this, but we both thought only a few people would buy it. But there are almost 3000 people registered here at She Grew! And Transvigor has a regular readership closer to 4000. If I could sell these stories to just 5 or 10% of that 4000ish number of people it wouldn’t be a living but it wouldn’t be chump change, either.

I remember when Gribble tried this it didn’t turn out well. But maybe if the interface is smoother it will work. I already started writing the story – about 1500 words done – which is probably 8 or 10% of it. It actually has a plot, if you can believe it.

I suspect it’s the Juggernaut’s gem, also. The "Ruby of Cyttorak" or "Gem of Cyttorak". I am not sure where it’s located now, but a Watcher would be able to find out.

The gem causes an almost instantaneous, massive increase in muscle mass and makes the receipient hugely strong – stronger than the Hulk. However, the "magic" available to the gem is fixed, so if more than one person touches it, the power is split between them. But since Titania is already incredibly strong, there’s no telling what effect it might have.

In one X-Men story, when Rogue drained the Juggernaut’s power, he did not regain his strength when it dissipated from Rogue. He had to touch the ruby again, and then threw it into outer space. I believe it fell to Earth at some point, but the storyline got a little silly at that point.

Good stuff! So who do you think it is in the suit?

What did you use to render it? Doesn’t like the Poser rendering engine.

Hey Lingster – what clothing model is that top you have her shredding? I’ve seen it in a couple of renders and I’m wondering if it’s worth picking up – and where you got it. Any help would be appreciated.

It’s actually free! But it’s dynamic cloth, which only works in Poser 5. The stretching and wrinkling effects of dynamic cloth work great with growth renders – I’ve done a couple of movies with breast swaying or "gainaxing", and it’s wonderful to watch the cloth move with the model. The creator is named Sven van der Linden. You can see his free stuff here.

where can i find that growth sequence. sounds cool

I may post it again soon. I have it on an old dinosaur beige box on my home network. I was just skipping through the big drive on it – after Cowprobe reminded me of that old series – and it’s got lots and lots of renders that I never shared with anybody, or only shared with a few people.

There’s one – an illustration that I did for Nomdreserv’s "Tennis", that I think I only ever shared with him.

God, Cowprobe, that was YEARS ago. April, 2001.

The torn sleeves are a affected via a transparency map. The sleeve mesh is still there, but the rendering engine doesn’t "see" it beyond the tear marks. You can get a look at an unfiltered version in the new Transvigor header image.

I think I may finally have found a way to charge for my stuff – if it works, then I may start publishing illustrated stories. I figure $3.00 for a 10,000-15,000 word story with at least six illustrations is about right. People will be able to buy access via Paypal or with a credit card, and probably get PDF file. If I can spend a few days each month writing and illustrating a story, and then turn around and sell it to a couple hundred people for $3 a pop, it’s worth my while to do it.

Here’s one that turned out better, I think:

This one is even better than your old one. I can’t understand frm where do you take ideas for new posers… It must be something more than just imagination.

It’s the same model I used for the new Transvigor header image. I just tweaked her a bit. I’m experimenting on making comics. This is actually a failure because there are too many colors involved.
