ParticipantCheers, CP. That’s the first time I’ve been associated with the word “wit” without having the “f***” put in front of it. (My fellow Aussies will be pissing themselves at that last sentence… or maybe not. Geez, tough room!)
The Chibi style really helped free up what I was trying to do. It relaxed the need to generate more realistic dialogue, as well as allowing me to amplify the poses and expressions. The narrator, “Tobias Higgins”, was put there to give me an oppurtunity to reset the scene if it begins to derail. He also prepares people the absurd nature of what I am doing.
Ouch! I’ve just hurt my shoulder by patting myself on the back.
Anyways, there will be more soon. I’ve been thinking about how to implement a “Choose-Your-Own-Adventure” template to the series. Remember those books?
(And “Brutal Legend” was awesome, but needed to be a little better to be “AOW-SUM!”.

ParticipantI think it’s good. You’ve included the usual themes that would appeal to people on this site, and I could see the scene you were trying to create.
Things to take on board, or totally disregard:
1 – I thought that you recycled words too often. This is okay if your trying to achieve a poetic rhythm within the paragraph, or even if you’re trying to mimic realistic speech (as relaxed conversation is anchored by verbal hooks). However, try to avoid needless repetition.
2 – Tighter editing. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it helps keep the reader in the story (although, I don’t know your situation, so I certainly don’t wanna offend you).
3 – The story rushed through some of the exposition, which made it seem forced. Take your time with these areas, ’cause they can add depth to the narrative, or even provide a contrast to the action.
4 – Within each sentence, you need to better identify to which character you are referring. This gets back to point one; try not using “she” so often. Supplement it with their names or descriptive terms, such as “the large blonde”, “her attacker”, “Captain Goofy Brow”.I hope this helps.

ParticipantHahaha, what a question! Is it a good thing? Prolly not. Then again, before the internet, it was hard for a young, penny-strapped suburbinite to find such material. I guess we hoard it, in case the internet dies, (or, as a result of a nuclear waste spill over the main computer that houses the internet, at the exact moment there is a severe electrical storm, it gains to sentiency and enslaves us all. Believe me, when that day comes – and it will come – you’ll be glad you had terabytes of clips on a device that requires electricity to access it.)

ParticipantAwesome find! I can’t believe there was cosplay back then. There’s even a horse for Gideon (minus, of course, the enormous persuader).

ParticipantAw, nuts! I’ve only ever seen this clip without sound, and now it’s ruined, ’cause all I’m thinking throughout her routine is “Ken Lee… Ken Libidibi Dabou. Ken Leeeeeeeeee… Ken Lib Anymore.”

ParticipantExcellent work. I gotta say, bud, that you are one of the most ambitious and prolific Poser animators going around. I dun know how you have the patience to do it.
