Reason with the best post of the year. About time we have a smaller but independent league which promotes PURE bodybuilding: no restrictions on size and conditioning. No drug testing. Women are encouraged to come in as big, as conditioned, and as symmetrical as possible. Beauty, grooming and an interesting posing routine are also rewarded, though they are not given nearly the same weight as size, conditioning and symmetry. Make it a live internet event like the one FTV organized a couple of years ago– cuts down on the costs associated with a live venue, and reaches the largest audience possibe (ie. on the internet).

I agree with everything you said, except for no drug testing. I think it would be awesome to see how big and muscular women could get without drugs. It would also keep it exclusive as well, as only truly genetically gifted and dedicated women could achieve the level required. It’s just a pity that the cost of drug testing would most likely be beyond a small startup league like this though.

Wow, beautiful photos! So hopefully everyone is convinced now :).

So are you planning to do any more video shoots or interviews in the future? Also, what’s the contest that you are prepping for?

Hi Nataliya! Wow, it’s such a thrill to have you post here! I have seen both of these videos from Awefilms, and I particularly liked the interview sections as it really showed your wonderful and strong spirit! i hope you will do more videos like this in the future.

I think the guys that run members sites should band together and start their own league. I mean they already provide a way for a lot of us to contribute to the industry who can’t go to shows because we don’t live in the US. Besides, apart from the athletes themselves, they surely have the most to lose if the IFBB gets rid of Female Bodybuilding as they do a lot of their shooting at FBB shows. I think James Cook has even organised some mini FBB contests via webcam, so that’s at least a start.

Wow, great insight into Lyman’s creative process! As well as bringing back Quadra Blu, he’s bringing back traditional techniques to the digital age as well!

    I’m excited too :cheer:

On a related topic, I really hope we get to see an animated feature (anywhere between 10 minutes to 1/2 hour) of female bodybuilder at some pojnt during my during my lifetime. Can you imagine a full length cartoon featuring Quadra Blue, Satin Steele, Tetsuko, or another one of our favorite muscle ladies? Lets hope it happens someday.

Me too ! I’m convinced it will happen eventually and I think the best chance of it happening is in anime. Awesome Japanese muscular female manga artists like Dairoku Tenmou Great and RENtb have shown that there is at least some commercial demand for their work. I have also seen stuff in anime that makes female muscle look positively mainstream. Also, shows featuring strong and powerful females like Queen’s Blade and Ikki Toussen seem to be on the rise at the moment.

Wow, what a relief! You know you’re on the wrong track if you are making a TV show about the ultimate Amazon princess and warrior and you can’t get the backing of a site called Amaz0ns! I still want to see the pilot though, just to see how bad it really is.

All I hope is that the right lesson is learned from this failure; that you should treat an iconic character with respect and stay true to the themes of the original material! If I hear anyone saying that the failed NBC attempt to bring back Wonder Woman proves that today’s audiences just won’t accept a show centered around a strong female main character, I shall rain down a shit storm of anger and vengeance upon them!

Please WB, get in contact with J.J. Abrams. I have no doubt he could come up with a really kick-ass version of Wonder Woman, and I’m sure he would pick a nice, leanly-muscled actress to play her instead of some tall, but skinny waif.

I liked them better last year when her calves were bigger. Her quads are still about as perfectly sculpted as I’ve ever seen though!
