ParticipantIt's quite possible I can blame Robotech (at least in part) for my love of large females, from Giantesses to Amazons. This show was being aired in America for the first time during my formative years and I didn't even realize at the time how different it was from other cartoons. I just knew how much I enjoyed watching it and the fact that the Zentraedi were a race of giants (and of course giantesses) just seemed like a matter of course. Why can't more cartoons be like this one? Damn but this show was incredible. Strong female characters abounded and not crappy one dimensional cliches that are foisted upon the majority of cartoons. (Heck, even film is burdened by that problem. Need a strong female character? Make her really cranky and have her swear a lot. Give her a tattoo even. Wow she must be a strong character.) I think I'm going to go back to my Robotech DVD collection and start watching it all over again starting with the Macross saga. If only all the good things of my youth were so easy to return to.
😥
This has been my weekly nostalgia rant. I feel better now.

ParticipantI also seem to have a problem with the scripting of the buttons. The right arrows work just fine. The left arrows don't work like they're supposed to, and for the life of me I can't figure out why. Does anyone here know how to write these scripts?
I know quite a bit about programming and a little about action script in particular. There are a number of ways you could be trying to implement the button script and without knowing the specifics I can't help you too much. Also I have no idea what version of Flash you're using which also can make a difference.
If you want, email me or PM me through the message board with the specifics and I'd be happy to try to help you with the scripting.

ParticipantHappy Thanksgiving everyone. I probably won't be back online until after the festivities so here's a pic to tide you over. I did this one a while back and I actually can't remember who the model is. I saved it as BM assuming I'd always remember who BM is but I guess I didn't. AlexG probably knows since I believe he's the one who gave me the original in the first place. Comments/critiques are welcome. Enjoy everybody.

ParticipantAs cool as it sounds to wave the controller around to swing swords, aim guns etc I wonder how long it would take for the novelty to wear off. I'd hate to have to cut a gaming session short because I got tennis elbow.
I admit the idea is incredible but I'm currently skeptical how as to how well it will translate into real game play. I'm not saying I've made up my mind to hate it, I'm just saying I'm not going to be amazed until I actually get one in my hands and try it myself.

ParticipantOn the subject of controllers . . . Did anyone else have problems with the analog stick on the old N64 just snapping off during heated sessions of Mario Party?

ParticipantVery nice. Went right in my bookmarks. Thanks 🙂

ParticipantAnother imaginative and well executed collage. I like these a lot. You should do some of these in standard wallpaper sizes. Many a desktop would be improved I'm sure 😉

ParticipantI know Akira did the character designs for part 7. I'm pretty sure he's doing them for 8 also.

ParticipantVery nice. I always thought Cammy deserved the strongest woman title more than Chun Li. All Chun Li had going for her was a great set of legs and a fantastic backside. Cammy is overall in much better shape and drool worthy IMO.

ParticipantI think even the yahoo qulitin' grannies group has a thread devoted to this very subject.
And man can those Grannies flame. No punches pulled, no holds barred. I'm lucky to be alive . . . 😉
