The Muffin man
ParticipantIt’s a new comic and it was released just this week. Further, contrary to popular myth, not everyone who visits the forums is as so knowledgeable about all of the characters in either the DCU or MU.
Lastly, drop the chip on the shoulder attitude, Delmo, its unwarranted.
He has a point though. All this issue did was recap the CoIE, really.
The Muffin man
ParticipantSearch for IGPX and Mini-sode or something like that.

ParticipantTop ones barely morphed. Look at the arm then look past it. Something black in the background is beind distorted slightly.
Bottom one it's harder to tell.
Either way, she had to get a source-pic from somewhere.

ParticipantAlso: She looks 40, which is a big dissapointment.
The Muffin man
ParticipantHehe, I might have to add that to my list of favorite quotes.
"Did she armpit you?!"
hehe.
Thank you for the scans and the laughs 😀
Go read the latest Marvel Team-Up, with Spidey and Invincible. Spidey actually kept his word and made Invincible hold him by the harness 😀

ParticipantIs it hosted via Myspace? You might have to copy the Url and post it at photobucket.
Send me the link and I'll hook ya up, bud.
The Muffin man
ParticipantThe hole was, I believe, first drawn there by Wally Wood. Wood, God bless his soul, was a notorious titman. The story goes that he drew her breasts larger each issue, to see how much he could get away with. So the reason there's a hole is to show cleavage. Most Power Girl fans know that story.
Thanks for playing.
Spider-Man got his powers and name from a fly crawling up a wall and from a pulp comic.
The canon explanation is that he got bit by a spider and it was the obvious choice. Just as the canon explantion for Power Girl is the symbol.
The Muffin man
ParticipantOh I'm sorry. You've all read his mail so you must know how many letters he's gotten asking why there's a hole in her costume or if it was just to show cleavage.
Guess that teaches me not to underestimate your psychic abilities.
The Muffin man
ParticipantUgh, geez. Why even take that into consideration? Was this a burning question on the minds of DC fans? They shouldv'e not even brought it up at all. When you try to start and explain things like that, it just gets ridiculous.
"You know, I want the world to know that I stand for something; I want people to look up to my icon, and maybe even be inspired by the ideals that it stands for. UNTIL THEN GUYS LOOK AT MY BOOBS."It must be fun to bash a character with a history of feeling inadequate and never belonging about how they explained why she dosen't have a symbol and gives us insight.
Man stupid writers need to stop giving us characterization and just have her throw tanks around.
The Muffin man
ParticipantOverall, the Adam Hughes covers notwithstanding, this 4 parter was pretty tame. Amanda Connor is not what I would call a "good girl" artist, and the story didn't reveal anything new, just told us what we already knew.
Isn't it just recently they revelaed why she has that gaping cleavage-hole? It's actually because she wanted a symbol like Superman has, but she didn't know what to put. So until an idea strikes her, or something that MEANS something comes to mind, she leaves it blank.
